This is my first time seeing the visual standards shop. Is it something a person could do in the same visit as the consumer audit?
No. You can do both but the program requirements are (for now) that you do the consumer audit first and then come back a different day to do the visual standards.

Ouch...I'm glad I checked on here. I hadn't noticed the change in fuel reimbursement, either. From $7 down to $2? These are much less appealing to me, now. Think I'll wait and see if the shop fees increase a lot before picking these up.
I just did my first bunch today and initially was bothered by the decrease in reimbursement. The more that I thought about it the more I realized that I am actually making more due to the new fee structure and the way that I do them. Since I do a bunch at once, as well as combine them with other brands, by the time that I hit my third or fourth station I have filled my tank so I was not spending anywhere near what the previous reimbursement was. Since they are paying more for bigger stations I end up ahead.

Yes, I am interested to see how the fees progress and how quickly shops are taken off the table. I also tend to o these in bunches. I think the most I did last time around was 10 per day. So I had to be sure to start the day with an almost empty gas tank and I ended the day with a full tank. It also helped that I drive an SUV with a large capacity fuel tank.
But what's the active POP campaign? The new POP guide has current POPs only for C-Store companies that I don't have here. Otherwise, there is a photo of the diesel pump CRIND strip and that's it. The POPs for the previous round expired June 4.
I agree the POP memo is confusing, so I don't know what the POP is supposed to be for my state.
And they should pay for at least 1 gallon of gas. I saw the new fees but didn't notice the reduced gas reimbursement. I think it's a total waste of time to buy $2 worth of gas, even though a gallon down here is about 2.43. And it's a good thing they don't include the gas purchase in the mystery shop because a $2 receipt would raise a lot of eyebrows

The ones I did Friday were the the blue ones Amoco. We don't have any of that around here, either.
You buy the gas after the reveal, so the $2 won't blow your cover. But yeah, it will be a PITA. Many, many times I have put only a buck or two in the tank because I got to that part of a route. When doing rural routes, however, there can be 30 miles or more between stations.
