What shops have you regretted taking?

I also tend to regret taking multiple locations of a new shop before I get a chance to actually do one.

I've done appliances, electronic stores and cell phone shops, all one interaction each. Now I see a shop with an interaction in two different departments plus buy an item (which isn't reimbursed) for $15. Are they crazy ?
The famous paint store is offering for 22.00 doing two different stores and two reports, so 11.00 for each....ugh.
I believe I did one for 18.00 a few months ago.

The first and maybe last assignment I accepted for intellishop. Usually their fees are way lower than I would accept, but I saw one for $15 that was for an online bank. Didn't think it would be that bad so I signed up, as that's a good fee. I should have seen the red flag in that the guidelines were well-hidden and not available until you accepted, unlike all their other shops. After reading the guidelines, I immediately emailed them to cancel. The instructions were ridiculous. They wanted close to 100 screenshots of the website, including EVERY drop down menu, every roll-over menu, etc. And not just any screen shot, they had to be precisely a set number of pixels wide and high. That would have taken me at least 2 hours, so I ran away from that. I should do myself a favor and just deactivate my intellishop account. I've never taken a shop from them and doesn't look like there will ever be a shop that's worth it.

I do shops for them....most are OK. But I can never see the guidelines until I am accepted (and I accept their acceptance). And that goes for other MSCs also...I ca never see the guidelines until I'm accepted. Is it just me who can't see them?
Ikea, the phone shops asking for pricing of dental treatments over the phone (failed miserably to get any prices for what is obviously individualized treatment and had to cancel 3 calls after 30 min on the phone each), the two visit car negotiation shops are usually not worth it. Anything from Red Quanta!

Oh my gosh! I'm not the only one that has had issues with NWPLC and the manager? I did a shop and went back and forth with him on email as I tried desperately to re-write my scenario. I had no idea what he wanted as he wasn't clear, but was anxiously trying to get my description right so I would get paid. I must have submitted my paragraph 4-5 times till he finally accepted it and I still didn't know what I was suppose to write. Since then, I haven't accepted another one of their jobs. That guy scares me!

Are you referring to NWLPC?

I’ve never had an issue with Doug in 20 years. He’s a stand-up guy.
The money order shops! When I was new to MSing I signed up for 2, I did not know I was going to be trying to bribe the person to do something wrong! I was so sick over it. I will never ever do that again!
Hi @Bella-Do, I agree with you. I have done tons of shops and studies and was never treated this rudely ever. I answered to the best of my ability and my shop was denied. The only compliment I will give is I got a response fast. A Denied response, LOL

You think Five Guys has a ton of questions for little pay? Alright then I guess......

I'm usually done with the report when I walk out the door.

For me, I wait until I am in my car to do the report, but you are 100% correct about it being quick. The hardest part for me is the longer open-form questions but even those are 20-30 seconds at the most.

The 5 guys IMO is easier than the Panda shop. The burger shop is higher pay usually too.

I've never done the Panda shop. We don't have those in my area.

First time I was denied a shop. I even spent $50 as well and won't ever see my money get reimbursed. I was honest, provided good feedback and my shop was denied. The owner was abrasive, rude and unprofessional. It's an one man shop, NWPLC, owned by Doug. I also read on other threads that he was rude and obnoxious. If they expect the shoppers to be professional, then the vendor will also need to be professional and respectful. I would never use NWPLC ever again. Poor customer service skills and poor management.

I also had an unexplained issue with this company. I had never worked for them and saw a job on one of the scheduling sites. I applied and got the job but then a day or two later I heard from the msc that I had flaked on a job for them in hte past so I was banned. I think I can figure out who I have worked for! And it was never this company. I asked the owner to let me know what shop I had even ever applied for and never heard back. Their loss, not mine.
I just picked up a well bonused Exxon and took a look at the pages and pages of learning curve and now I already regret it. Seriously thinking about cancelling it.
CQ - all that MSC's jobs have pages and pages but, once you get used to it, you can really get rolling. You won't be sorry if you can stick with it! Download instructions instead of printing. Make yourself a cheat sheet (rewriting helps you to remember) or a spreadsheet that's easier to digest than multiple pages. Check everything off or write notes onsite so you don't miss anything. After a few, you'll have a flow and it will seem so much easier. I promise! YES YOU CAN!

I have just accepted multiple $7 gas station audits and having never completed one I'm getting a bit nervous! Will see if I eventually regret this!

I regretted the one I took while I was doing it. Good luck with them.

Thanks... I've done lots of gas stations for this company but not this brand as there are few around me. But they get some really good bonuses so it will be worth it. But I needed that pep talk and the cheat sheet reminder. I have the other 3 brands pretty much memorized.

These, if they are the ones I suspect, are pretty simple, as well they should be for the pay. You can use the app, right?
New Intellishop wire transfer and refund shop. Accepted @$15. Guidelines were straightforward. Had a list of 12 shop specifics, and 6 things to get. It was the shop from Hell. The agent would not refund or help in anyway. WU customer service is a joke. I started the report, put in the time, date, and a few other details. Hit save, and then my heart dropped when I discovered that I still had 98 errors to address in the report. There were questions and requests for things never mentioined in the guidelines. Over 100 questions about a 15 transfer and refund paying only $15 is shameful. I made my refund request on time, made three calls to WU and Im still short the $5 transfer fee.
I regretted taking a retail shop I did today. They offered a bonus and I asked for $5 more but as soon as I saw the traffic on the way there I already regretted doing a shop on a Friday after noon. But once there I again regretted it. There were three salespersons and two were busy. I was to avoid one. Even with no name tags on I felt certain the one not busy was the one to avoid. I made some excuse to have her hand me off to someone else once I determined her name but my wait to speak with anyone, even her , was way too long. This was a high end shop and the customers already there just stayed and stayed and stayed. Well I spent over 4 hours on this shop. The original pay is the minimum wage for one hour in my city. Why did I let a bonus distract me from how I feel about retail shops like this. Almost always long and drawn out in this city. I really liked the salesperson but really?? hours and hours for the report, drive, wait etc.
Feel for you Sandy, driving in the city just isn't worth it. Del Taco cost 8.52 for the worst meal ever. They rejected it because one pic didn't come out, ten dollars, big joke, lesson learned.

Have not done one yet but I passed Del Taco on my way yesterday with a big sign for that taco. Wished I had a job so I could try it. Sorry you did not get paid. They are too cheap to be picky. I always take tons of pics and sometimes almost all are bad so I am glad I took so many in the end.

A taco is $2.50. You need a shop to buy one?

I am not sure anymore who is quoting what above. But no, I probably would not buy one for $2.50. I am basically a chili relleno gal when it comes to Mexican food. The times I have eaten ff Mexican, usually the other large chain, it was due to hunger, not due to it tasting like the food I prefer. And the salsa in those little packets! No I prefer places with freshly made salsa.
Not doing another Glesons store shop. I signed up for the shop and then got 16 pages of reporting, for a $12 fee and $5 reimbursement. I won't do that again.

It's Gelson's.

I promise to never do another Sbarro.
