Bye Blaze

This is sad to hear...Blaze was one of only a couple of shops with this MSC that I actually could do, given that most of their shops require alcohol or a guest (I don't drink, and it is difficult for me to find people to accompany me on a shop). I definitely liked the online Blaze order shops more than the usual ones. In my area, this MSC used to also have another somewhat local pizza client and carry-out was an option some months, but they stopped their mystery shopping program about half a year ago. Now it seems like I'll have even fewer shops I can do for this MSC once Blaze leaves.

sstsau, just wait a while and they will have a new client if you are in a large enough area. Right now where I live there are more single person meal shops than couple meal shops.
if you are in a populated area perhaps you can find another shopper in your city who also needs a guest and you can take turns being guest or shopper. People have asked here for volunteer dinner guests. You just need to tell us what city you are in and ask if anyone is interested. Start a new thread though as this one has limited followers.
I actually didn’t mind these if I was in the area. To me they were quick, easy and pretty painless.

I too have seen service levels drop. It started when they initially scaled back the program and the last month or so, service and cleanliness is downright abysmal.

I probably did 5-6 a month for a long period of time and would usually give half the pizza to a homeless guy in my area.
I love California Tortilla! Those shops never stay on the board despite the fact they are reimbursement only. I wish their old MSC had them.

Did my last Blaze shop today. It was so awful I am sort of glad and sad there will be no more Blaze shops. Glad because the place was such a mess meaning a very long report...this location used to be great but it seems like the team just isn't able to get the job done anymore. Sad because I loved the pizza but not sure I want to eat there after tonight. They need the shop program more than ever now. The service has fallen into the dumps. And to top it all off they raised prices again. The pizza is over $10 now with tax. I saw lots of people ordering the one and two toppings cheaper pies. Before it was mostly the all you want toppings except for the little kids.
The last blaze app special was 2 pepperoni pizzas for $10. Chipotle didn’t have forks last I went; but good prices
Blaze was pretty good but the new pizza they got for my area is so much better than Blaze, I'm excited.
I don't think there is a new pizza place in my area. Does it have hot sauce on it hot sauce? Seems just the thing for Los Angeles fusion food...hot sauce pizza. But we do have several other new interesting sounding food places for this msc. I never heard of either until recently so I think they are probably newer chains just moving to this area or ones starting on the west coast. I have not tried any of them yet. They are mostly anywhere from a $20 to $45 for two reimbursement so middle of the road pricing..

thank goodness they are droppping the shop.... editors had never had a pizza there I am convinced... the timing was NEVER NEVER to what they thought it should be.... ever.... I gave them video of how slow it was and they still said I was incorrect.

You are so right! I got blocked from doing the shops because I got into it with an editor. Horrific shop!
Ironically they just added a vegan chorizo toppings which I enjoyed. I also had a very long report due to many problems (including the least edible pizza I've been served in the dozens of times I've been there).
I think they have a new pizza client.

My pizza place (not Blaze) has an age requirement and my friend and I eat there often, sharing a pizza.....they want a younger demographic, like an expert foodie wouldn't know what to do, but they also want tons of pic;s, one of the bottom of the pizza......how the h__?

Live consciously....
They added &Pizza as a client. Both Blaze and &Pizza are listed this month.

Both pizza places listed at the same time and one pays $5 (or more) while the other is reimbursement only. Pffft.

In my area both are reimbursement only.

Those shops made me stop shopping with them.

I have done a Blaze every day this week. My last one is Sunday. Most were online. I agree very easy.

I've done my fair share of Blaze shops and will not miss them. Although I love their food and often "work for food", these shops were too stressful with the timings, handwritten name labels, catching what the workers on the line are saying. and trying to act natural.

Did you get the handwritten names that you just knew were not their real names? Ie: Capt America, Princess Leia, etc. That really bugged me.

I've taken that shop( not for awhile). If you're talking about the location by Target on Magic Mountain. I used to eat there when it was 6.00 and then 7.00 Tuesday. The pizza was always mishapen and half cooked.

Blaze also required pics of the bottom of the pizza.

I don't drink either. I've taken shops that require alcohol. ie: Yard House. I would carry my beer into the restroom and dump half of it. Never an issue.
I stopped going to Chipotle after the mystery shopping ended. The food and service went down hill and I never went back.
I have not been to Chipotle either except for Halloween when it is $3. El Torito near me, not a shop, keeps having deals lately so I have been eating there. Problem is if you start ordering Margaritas with the food it gets expensive.

Good riddance to the reports with pittance fee, and to lackluster pizza.

Most of the locations had decent pizza. Del Amo Mall in Torrance, CA was not one of them.

Plus, a bunch of us triple or quadruple-dipped these shops with Christmas Gift cards, rewards points, double flame days, and a shop. That's working the system to your advantage for sure. smiling smiley

I'm a scientist, so I am "all about the math and calculations." I never thought that the report was hard at all.
Calicakes - In my area, they didn't use names that were obviously fake........believable names were used.
In my area it looked like real names but every one had an individual spelling and with all the ethnic people living in LA most of the names were either a long complicated spelling variation from the traditional American spelling or a name foreign to many of us not in their ethnic group. Top that off with the little chalkboard name plates were usually half erased and often worn with a backwards cap so on the left side and difficult to read. And then the servers would be changing places constantly when there was a line. I tried never to go at the height of the lunch or dinner hour. I hated that part of the job and loved it when I had one server the whole way!
