Referal Bonuses list

I know referal bonuses have been discussed before but the most recent thread I found was a year old. I would like to put together a list of companies that give referal bonuses. I realize most of us don't do referals because it creates competition, but for those who do it would be nice to have a central list. I also have been asked to give a lecture at my local library about shopping scams, and inevitably the question of legitimate MSCs comes up. Since I am not paid for my time, I am hoping to earn a few referal dollars for my effort.

If response is good here I will keep the post updated with the current list. Here are the one's I have seen mentioned so far:

Ath
ACL
Amusement Advantage
Bare
Bestmark
Informa
Jancyn
JM Ridgeway
North Fork
Sentry
Shopper's View

Hi Stormraven!

I just wanted to add that Informa also provides referral bonuses of $50 (sometimes much more if it is a hard to fill project). The bonus is awarded after the referred shopper successfully completes their first shop.

North Fork Research claims to give a referral bonus; I referred two of my kids to do age compliance shops and a bonus was not forthcoming for either referral. I sent an email and was told that I would need to send another email after the shop was completed. Still no bonus. It was "only" $10 for each, but the fact that they "cheated" me out of $20 means they are at the bottom of my list when I'm looking for shops. Neither kid (adults now, but still in the age range for compliance shops) does shops for this company any longer, either.
I am still waiting for referral bonus from Amusement Advantage...3 years now... $20 but it just leaves a bad taste in mouth, something similar to Bec2117’s experience
Ath.

I got a check from Sentry in the mail. Hadn't done any shops for them, so I called them. It was for finding them a shopper, LOL!!!

The flip side is, what if you refer someone, and they screw up really bad? Does it reflect poorly on you in the MSC's eyes? So I refer ONLY people I really know, and I make it clear to them that screwing up a shop might have negative consequences for me!

I like OP's idea of a talk on avoiding scams. Good idea!
I would not count on receiving money for referrals. I referred my wife and sons to several MSC's that offers such bonuses and was only paid by one. (They call completed shops.) I suspect that MSC's do not track it all that well. I also don't go out of my way to refer folks as I would prefer that my market not be flooded with shoppers...

So, I only refer folks whom I think can do the work and are in need of ways to make a little more money. If I get a small payment, great.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Just curious about some of these companies...are there referral links or do people just have to list you as the person who referred them? I know Amusement Advantage and Bestmark have links, but I don't see that for the others. Please advise. Thanks!

I haven't checked all of them, these are just the ones others have posted. I know some you have to just email them the name of the person you referred.
Here's the link to the Shoppers' View referral form: [shoppersview.com]

Thanks Christine! And thank you for being active on the forum. We always appreciate MSCs who read and respond to comments.
I have people ask me all the time about MSing companies I can refer them to. Pretty much as soon as your friends know you MS they will start asking. Most won't follow through but you can always offer.
