Sometimes a project manager sends out emails advertising these jobs. See if you can identify the PM and email that person directly. I professional, but humble, inquiry asking about your error expressing a desire to to repeat the mistake could get a reasonable response. They don't want your shops rejected either and, if you are planning to do more shops (or if they think you are), it is in their best interest to help you understand what happened, so that it is not repeated.
Honestly, this sounds like a situation where the shop could have been saved with a few edits/word changes - or one with an editor who did not understand it well. From what you say, I think there is a chance that the PM can help you get this one through. (Of course, you might find out that you were suffering a bit of your own humanity at the time of the shop/report and actually made a more significant blunder - in which case the feedback will be very valuable to you.)
Good luck!
