Has anyone performed these shops yet? Any good reasons to apply for them? Insight on the purchase requirements?

I started to sign up for them. After you sign up for one location, the website warns you to not sign up for any more, though you can work around that. I picked several, then waited for the mandatory phone call from a scheduler. Five days later, 2 days before the deadline, they call. The discussion starts with the scheduler telling me I need to pick at least 15 locations and asking why I didn't. I explained that the instructions and website directed me differently. I then asked for more information about the assorted locations as many would require purchases beyond the maximum refund. There are locations like animal hospitals, salons, vape shops, sit down restaurants, small and private businesses. I needed to understand the expected purchase requirements. She promised an email, it never came. I canceled the shops I requested.

That sounds like a project I did for another charge card company a few years ago. It was one of the most enjoyable and more lucrative shop projects I ever did. I got to keep a lot of charged merchandise too.
I read something about this today too. There were a few variations but it sounded like we are required to decline the purchase. Unless it just can’t be done, then there is a backup card and it is a route.

The first round provided loded cards, we would get to keep the purchase plus get a small fee. There was a supplemental report if the card did not work. The new listings appear to be more complicated, several cards to use per location, indicating a decline scenario. I am not willing to look like a deadbeat running multiple cards, especially for a small fee that covers my base travel costs.
