Has anyone done those Goodwill Employment shops???

These shops seem to hang around on the boards in my area for a good while. I have thought a time or two about trying one, but since they hang around for a good while, and sometimes even bonused, it makes me leery about trying one out. Anyone ever done one??? Are the reports tedious??? TIA

I don't know what you mean by "employment" shops. I'm familiar with a retail visit and an integrity shop for Goodwill. The report is a bit repetitive, but the shop itself isn't that bad. I usually only take them with at least a $5 bonus.
You can only do it once. It's the career center. The photos required are a bit much but it wasn't any worse than most of this MSCs reports.
There are photos??? The MSC I am thinking of, in its guidelines, states that you simply need to go in and ask about employment. I don't think it says anything about photos! I'll have to think about that one.
I've done them many times. I have done each store more than once, just wait 6 months and come in with a fake name. (required if you do it multiple times). Piece of cake for me. smiling smiley

Did you have to take any photos? Or just report what happened?
I've done eight of them. They are great shops and the results I got were quite varied. Now I tell everyone I know about the GW job connection. Its amazing how much help they offer and how thorough they will be for job seekers. I took photos but I didn't have to upload any of them. I took the photos to help me remember each place.
Just did one recently and it was easy. A few questions and small write-ups. You do need to get a business card. No photos and no, this is not the same as the Goodwill shops where you bring a donation and then go in the store.

Thanks, Bella. This helps me a great deal. I may try one soon!

On the donation only shops I have taken a picture of the exterior of the building.
