ATH NOTARY SHOPS: Call first before you accept the shop

Some of the locations posted do not have an on staff notary, so it is a good idea to call first before accepting any of these shops which are fairly easy to do. They even reposted one location after I told them it has no Notary on staff. Some of the posted phone numbers are also no longer in use, but they continue to ring endlessly anyway with a message coming on later that says all tellers are too busy...

In the DMV you have to make an appointment with the notary by going on line or calling the branch. It is SOP.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I've tried 3 times to do one of these shops, but nobody ever answers the phone number. I gave up.
I enjoy these shops. Very easy. Recently, I make an appointment online from the bank's website.

They changed their call handling a while back. You will most likely never again reach anybody at that bank. It is absolutely amazing that even a bank would think they can do business like that. Another case of a company getting productivity gains at the expense of their customers, who get productivity losses. Rant over.

As for the notary shop, I've never done it because the rotations on the bank branches are 3 to 6 months and I don't want to blow one on a $15 shop when all the others pay more. I only have a handful of branches here.
