Famous Footwear

I did an online shop for Famous Footwear. When I went in to pick up the shoes I didn't really like them. I'm wondering if anyone has ever exchanged any and if it was a problem? I didn't see anything addressing this in the guidelines and I'm concerned since it was an online order that they may do a return and separate transaction for the purchase. I emailed the scheduler but haven't received a reply yet.

I don't know about that, but just an FYI the app with the insect logo has a quick add-on for 5.00. If you must jump through hoops, might as well make a few extra $$

I did an exchange on the spot. I tried on the shoes and didn't like the way they fit. I tried on a different size and it was still no good. I have a high arcb and the support wasn't there. I had already found a backup pair before going that were the same price. I found them on the sales floor and tried those on and they were perfect. The cashier did the exchange with no hiccups. I reported everything. I got a 10 on the shop.
I did one a week ago. I didn't have to return them but my scheduler said that it would be okay to return in case they don't fit or you don't like them.

I had the same issue. The shoes did not fit, so I exchanged the ones I ordered online for ones in the store, no issue. The guidelines did not address this though, so I hoped it would be okay.
I just heard back from the scheduler. Surprised since it's Sunday. She said it is fine to return or exchange them.

Thanks for the replies!

That's great to know, Mum. If I don't need a pair of shoes I can get a refund and pocket the cash. I do realize that I can't wear the shoes or they won't give me the refund.

I'll be returning the pair I don't like. I've done 3 this week and another scheduled for Wednesday lol.

@JASFLALMT. Oh my bad..I meant to say that as long as you return the shoes and get another pair, you are OK. I don't know if they would frown upon a straight return. I'll ask my scheduler the next time I get the shop.
I never saw anything in the guidelines saying we couldn't return them...I'd love to know.

On the purchase shops I have seen, where compensation is in the form of the item, you cannot return the item. I would be surprised if they allowed returns for cash.

I bought a pair (on my own) and hated them, they did the return quickly and professionally, no problem.

I have one beloved pair of shoes from Famous Footwear. They did not come from a shop. I went and fetched them myself! I need to replace them with something else soon. I will consider a shop, but I will not wait for a conveniently located shop.

The quality of many of their shoes is not the best.

The pair that I love has lasted for several months and has a little life left in them. This is a miracle for these shoes. Other pairs were not right for me. For the price, though, this pair plus a replacement pair within months is the equivalent of one expensive pair that I would expect to wear for years. Cash outlay is less with both purchases (a huge plus in my world). New shoes are more frequent (meh) Overall cost is the same.

DSW shoes has a huge selection and good brands...I signed up and they sent me 10.00 off. I also have bought shoes at Marshall's, and gotten very good prices. I expect to wear shoes a few years and usually do.

Not a shop but I shop at DSW as it is walking distance from my house. They are no longer a bargain. Their prices are usually only a few dollars less than retail. Even Macy's has better prices on their sales to name a major shoe department.
I have bought shoes I love at FF though. I have never bought anything there when I wasn't doing a shop. I bought some Saucony's and some Dr. Scholl's last year. Both pairs are supportive and comfortable. I bought some Minnetonka sandals (before they changed the guidelines to exclude sandals). Super cute and comfortable. I have 3 pairs of those, 2 of which are still in boxes in my closet--that's how much I love the 1st pair I bought that are still holding up quite well. On my very 1st shop at FF I bought some Skecher's for merchandising work and I hated them. I still have them but rarely wear them now, certainly not for work. They are okay for flying since I can slip them on and off easily, but they suck for long walks, running, or doing anything where I have to be on my feet for more than a few hours. The 2nd pair of shoes I bought there were Nike running shoes. Meh. They look good but the Saucony shoes are much better.

The one I go to in Northridge has markdowns in the back usually half off.

The full price ones I am talking about at dsw. The markdowns are only up to 60% at most now and used to be 80%. The majority in my store are 20-30% for a pair that is an old style with only one choice if you can find it on the shelf and no one wants anymore. Weird colors etc. Most are 4-5" heels, shoes made of plastic etc that end up costing much more . I used to love DSW but never find anything worthwhile there anymore.
This famous footwear job sounds much better if I knew the msc!!! I am not asking.
Sandy, you are probably signed up with them. They are a very well-known MSC and a lot of people hate their editors. They are on the top 15 list on this website. These FF jobs fly off the job board.

I will check. I know we do not have any close by FF but they are in SoCalifornia somewhere. I would be willing to order online and hope i like them as with my size 11 feet I usually have to resort to that anyway. DSW only has the occasional shoe in my size. I am actually a 10.5 but many manufacturers stop at size 10 and those who go to 11 skip the half size. So an 11 should fit me. Some are so big now I wallow in them. Some so small I cannot get them on my little toe. Depends on the country that made them.
You wouldn't be able to do the shop unless you can order online and pickup in store. They also have some shops where you can go into the store and pick out your shoes, but the ones that you do online/pickup in store are so much easier!

With the "power" that is invested in me as a mystery shopper I will try and fill any "gaps" in the companies I am signed up with. As a staunch "sentry" I will go "beyond" the call of duty and make sure and sign up with the two or three I have not yet signed with. Ip that is not enough sos be it. Signed: a Good win on this shop would be better than the bare minimum. May the force be with me.

My first FF shop was a week ago. I got a pair of Oshkosh shoes for my daughter. They are the same brand that she wears usually so quality wise they aren't so bad.
