Merchandising / Netspend

Have you done one of these? I have never done merchandising and wondering how long these take for CC placement & GoSpotCheck app. if I'm in the area, can I knock one out in 15 minutes? Thanks!

These are pretty quick. I find the delay is when I have to wait in customer service to sign the vendor book and get a name. I don't think I have polished any off in 15 minutes but definitely under 30.
I tend to go during off hours (did 2 this past Sunday morning before 10am) and they each took about 10 minutes.
<edited> allows merchandisers to skip the line to sign the vendor log. If you don't know where it is just wave at a CSR to ask. They really don't mind, I promise. And yes, they rarely take mkre than 10-15 minutes.

I just did a bunch of them. I was done in 10 -15 minutes. When I do them it is usually about 10 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes if I have to do more then one display.
I've done a few and they go pretty quickly, but definitely bypass all that and go to the vendor log at the CS desk.

5-15 min at most. Definitely worth while if you don't mind keeping cartons of cards at your house.
I did these once. There were only 2 shops in my area so I took both. I agree they are easy but not knowing what I was doing, they took way to long for the small pay.

Would you explain this to me, about skipping the line and going to the vendor log? First time so it's unfamiliar to me. Thanks much!!

I think they mean this: Some stores might have a vendor log at the customer service desk for you to sign before you begin your task. Other stores will require you to sign in at the back of the store. If customer service does not have the log and they would direct you to another [the waaaaay back] part of the store, you might be able to skip the customer service desk and go directly to the back where vendors log in and receive a badge which identifies them. How do you know this in advance? Are we allowed to call first to find out each store's specific procedure?

Yesteday, I worked at a store and never signed anything. I wore my badge, gave the scripted introduction to the associate at Customer Service, and was approved by a Customer Service Manager. This person escorted me to the primary display. My next store is a different situation. I already know that I will have to sign the log book in the back of the store. Accordingly, I will park in front of the grocery area and save time accessing the log-in area which is behind the grocery section of the store.

YMMV. Great question!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At stores where the log is at the desk, if there is a long line of customers don't bother waiting in line. Just walk up to the end of the counter where employees enter and exit. Wave down someone who is not helping a customer and ask them to hand you the vendor log.

Frankly, on the card display visits that have a money center I don't bother signing in anymore, I just wear my badge. They are so quick no one has time to question me. For the name, just tell the money center employee you are restocking, and get the name from their badge. If there's no money center then you have to go to Customer Service anyway to sign in and get a name (so long as you sign in and have your badge you don't really need to talk to them).

At all but one of the Walmarts that I've serviced, the vendor log is at the customer service desk and you can just sign yourself in. However, I would check to make sure that's ok. Last year, I spent almost every day at the same Walmart for one company or another, they'd just see me and say Go ahead!

Surprisingly, I did not have to sign in at today's location. A CSM approved me and showed me where things were (and were not) located. This was a welcome change! smiling smiley
