BUFFALO WILD WINGS: Shopped again with a new msc, NYC tri state area.

Just noticed them being shopped in the NYC tri state area. Recall somebody asking about these shops weeks back, so here you go...

$10 fee for staying at least an hour at the bar. Can't arrive until 9PM or later!
$10 in May, but, at least in Ohio, raised to a $15 fee for June; in addition, $25 for the reimbursement. If, as with myself, one thoroughly enjoys the food, it certainly is quite an enjoyable evening. Although I have been shopping since 2003, I did not have experience with integrity assignments. This lack of skills required me to spend an inordinate amount of time on the reports and re-submissions. Fortunately for me, the editors were very understanding and supportive. I now have an understanding of the report. As I am sure those of you who are skilled in this type of work can attest, it is somewhat different from the normal job.

If the late hour is not a problem and one enjoys BWW, I definitely recommend these locations. I am not aware of any other such shops that will pay $15, permit a $25 meal, do not have picture requirements AND do not mandate a guest. If you know of any, please share.
I was just paid for my first of three BWW's, two in May and one in June. The acceptance of my shop was delayed by the need for me to add information and still came in at 22 days. Such a time frame is quite acceptable to me.

As to the hour at the bar, it actually took me longer to order, receive, eat, check the men's room and pay. I do, though, realize some folks eat faster than me.
If you like a location, what's the hurry? I don't like to rush in and out anywhere when I eat unless the environment is annoying. And if you don't like the environment, why be there in the first place?

Bar integrity jobs are my specialty. For 45-60 minutes, I get a $50-$75 fee 2 drinks (or 4 if I have a partner) and food. No cap on expenses. I have a bunch to do this month where they also give me a hotel room, so I don’t have to uber or drive. I rarely do fine or casual dining when I can do these.

It’s very different than mystery shopping, but I found these through a mystery shopping company years ago.
I used to enjoy doing the BWW shops. I hope that I am signed up for the company that is now doing them. I live in New York and will keep my eyes open.
The bar shop at my local BWW has just popped up. Not sure I'll do one, but I might....

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

Poor little rat.
I see BWW!!! But, I ONLY see the bar ones. Any dine-ins???

If allowed to tell, what do the bar ones involve? I can't see the guidelines unless I take a job. Mmmm, but I don't want to take a job if it's not for me (i.e., my type). Catch 22.

Although, there is a link to a quiz I see that has some guidelines details in SUPER small print (that I cannot read). sad smiley How am I supposed to learn about these bar shops if I can't even read the guidelines?
I was wondering the same thing shoptastic was...is it just the bar shops that have returned?
I miss BWW shops.I was doing so many of them a couple people gave me BWW gift cards for Christmas two years ago (they had/have no clue I was mystery shopping).
Roxy, the forum rule states we can not reveal the clients of mystery shoppers. And the agreement we sign with the companies states that also. We find the jobs we like by signing up with the list of companies at the bottom. Then checking the job boards.
There are no BWW near me, so I don't know who does them.

How do I sign up to do BWW shops
Shoptastic asks: If allowed to tell, what do the bar ones involve?

Bob's reply: The focus is on worker integrity. I would answer your question more completely, but, although I have always thought it to be ridiculous, MSC's are strange about information that is, in all probability, quite well known. A classic example is who shops whom.

It's okay. I never want to violate guidelines/ICAs.

If it's your typical:

Sit at bar
Watch bartenders/servers like a hawk to see if they steal from the cash register, give free drinks, or do any other shady stuff that rips off the client, then I think I have a good feel for those.

I've never done one (not really my thing), but I've seen lots of guidelines for other shops that involve these types of scenarios. The BWW one doesn't have an easy way for me to see guidelines, so that's why I was curious.

Having said that, I MIGHT try a BWW one. I feel their establishment is "safe"/well-known/family-oriented (I'll often see kids go there to eat) enough to do one. At worse, I could pick it up and drop the shop if the guidelines are not to my liking. smiling smiley *just hate the feeling of asking to drop and possibly get points taken off for the drop*
