LOL....I don't think I've ever disagreed with you, and I do so now with utmost respect....but your comparison had nothing to do with my situation. The point you made wasn't relevant.

Specifically, if they underpaid me, I would call them out on it; so if they overpay me, should I do the same? My conscience says, yes, I should.
I would consider this a happy accident. Perhaps this is an opportunity to reevaluate how you value your time and calculate your own expenses. This is a business. The MSC would not offer to pay you more than they felt the job was worth.
CEASE - You may be the only one who is participating in this thread who thinks that $75 (total) is the correct compensation for driving over 1000 miles and spending 20 hours doing so. Even $750 is a bargain. That is why they are paying you that fee.

Your scheduler probably did that on purpose. Your number was way too low as subsequent events showed. You can always call them and complain but I doubt they will change the number back.
I enjoyed the discussion. I ended up completing 7 of the shops over 3 days (mini-routes; picked up a few "filler shops" -- gas stations and ff), driving 1300 miles.. Because of the mileage, all "tax sheltered", so it's cash flow, baby, cash flow!!!
