iSecrectshop is the one App I rely on to find shops. I have several that are MSC specific, some are better than using their website, some are required to report select shops.

Presto Instashops is OK to check on local Sassie based shops. From my experience, only some shops are listed on Presto, for many I only find them on the MSCs Sassie website.

I do not use Field Agent that much, I recommended installing it to see if the opportunities there interest you. Mostly quick but low paying audits or checking for items.

I'm sorry I should have explained myself more. I meant phone apps for Android like timing and notes etc.
Most androids have a built-in clock with stopwatch and some sort of notepad or text function. You can text notes to yourself.
Thank you, yes I do use both of those, I didn't know if there were any others that people use. I've only been doing this for 6 months and learning along the way. Thanks!
I just audio record my visits so I can review the timing and properly enter any required quotes.

I use an free app called Voice recorder, it has ads but it does what I need. I can fast forward the recording and it also provides a detailed time. it has a red mic and rated 4.8 stars on Google play apps.

I suggest getting an old watch out for a timer or using the digital timer that comes with the Android devices. If you forget to use the time you can also take a quick pic from the time you receive the reciept and take another pic when you get your ordee. The main reason I record is it gives me an accurate time stamp.

I absolutely love shop it for to the second timings. You just touch the screen anywhere and it records it. It just looks like a texting app.
Geoverify is a good app to have. As the name implies, it verifies your location. Helpful in case there's a dispute over whether in fact your were at that particular location during the time you said you were shopping.

Some MS companies require it; there is a place on Sassie forms to record the code given when you have it verify your location.
I think that 80% of the shops I do involve narratives, so the kinds of company-specific apps where you can enter data in the field on a smart phone don't work for me. But I have entered shops and uploaded photos onto certain company websites for fast food/fast casual shops while in the field.

For notes, I write them in an email, then send to myself the notes email along with photos and geoverify screenshots attached. I do this for nearly all shops I do. Then it's just a matter of using the email summary to fill out the narratives, and the info on timing to fill out the remainder of the shop form. I have a record of my notes, which I save as a pdf to keep with a pdf copy of the shop results and collateral.

As I'm typing on my phone to make the email, it looks like I'm texting. On some shops practically all the customers have their heads buried in their phones while they are waiting for their food orders, for example; I would be out of place if I were not on the phone. (Could it be that they are all shoppers...?)
In addition to the apps mentioned already, I use Mystery Shopwatch. Sometimes I prefer the way it works for timing over Shop IT.
