My morning of mystery shopping

My morning on mystery shopping. I had a shop at hardware store. The GPS was off by 2 miles. By the time I got to the store, I was too late to do the shop, have to reschedule. OK, I still had to go to the gas station on the corner, needed gas. Got to the gas station, it was closed for construction. OK, I still had a cell phone shop to do near the hardware store. The guidelines say, do not shop in the first 45 minutes the shop is open. Cell phone stores open at 10 am. I look at the time and it's almost 11am. No problem. I get to the store. It opens at 11 am. Some days you wonder why you even bother getting out of bed. LOL

If it makes you feel any better, I did a route of gas stations last week. Came home, put the receipts and notes somewhere ... never did find them again. I had to grovel for forgiveness and cancel.

That is why I take pictures of my receipts after leaving every shop. I've lost too many in the past.

My current advice for lost things...look under your car seat! Do not just look but run your hand under and around. I found my totally lost small black fit bit after 8 months lying in the crack between the car seat and the edge. Miraculously I charged it up and it still worked even after being vacuumed up. Yesterday I was going crazy looking for my voice recorder to write up an all day shop...my daughter asked if I had looked under the car seat. I said yes, twice. Then I did it again and ran my hand under and there it was along with an important piece of paper I could not see.

I would have had to take photos of my handwritten notes too. Most of the time I put them on my phone, but for that account I like to have the notes stapled to the receipts at the end of the project.

I have had days like that myself. Luckily my shopping days have kind of waned on me. Too many shops need a younger person even for buying a side by side.

I was having one of those days last week. I walked into the library and the checkout guy asked how I was today. I replied "oh, you know, things are just a little off" as I handed him my debit card instead of my library card.
