Chipotle is shopped again

The pay is now only $6 plus reimbursement. The report still involves the timing, only now we have to take multiple photos of the steak. Bummer. Won’t do it for $6

I find Chipotle's food leaves a lot to be desired, but a $6 shopper fee is an insult. Not worth doing that shop!

Although I quite enjoyed Chipotle's food, the report was insanely repetitive. When I requested my deactivation, due to the report, I was clearing an $18 fee. Needless to type, $6 + pics is not a consideration for me, but I fully expect they will be someone's "cup of tea."

Well it's not the same MSC as it was for years. I saw some shops in my area a couple of months ago and grabbed a couple, super simple, yes photos were required but the report was quick and easy. I would do it again. But, I just looked, and there aren't any in my area with the 2nd MSC. So perhaps it's yet even another MSC?

I was just wondering about Chipotle the other day, as the food around here has gone downhill since they ceased to be shopped. At least the last time I ate at one, which was about a year ago. How do you get pictures of the steak? I don't think I'd do this shop....

I have never paid for Chipotle in my life, LOL. I wouldn't know what it tasted like otherwise. The last shop I did it was take a photo of your food at the table, no big deal at all.

I was in such a habit of having weekly Chipotle bowls, I continued to shop them after the program ended.

I have a handful Chipotles in my area but never saw that new MSC offer such shops recently

I had never heard about them and never was inside until I started to do MYstery shops for them. After they stopped to do mystery shopping program I was not there..at all..To be honest with you I prefer Cali Tortilla over Chipotle..but Cali Tortilla are far away from my home...((((

I'm signed up with about 130 MSCs from the list on this site and haven't seen any in my area. There are 6 within 10 miles of me.

Perhaps only certain franchisees, company owned stores or regions are being shopped?

likely certain regions. (all stores are chipotle owned and not franchisees)

I haven't seen them either and would not mind having one once in a while. No California Tortilla here in California. I guess it is an export pretending to be from California. I looked up their locations a few months ago and saw none in California.
Time to sign up for more companies?? If the report is easy I would do it.

The last MSC I did a Chipotle for a few months ago wasn't nearly as lenient with the ordering as the old MSC was. I don't really like Chipotle's steak, I like the chicken, and I thought the quesadilla was greasy. I would have rather had a bowl but wasn't allowed.

The full name of the Company is California Tortilla. They are mainly in Philly burbs area.I did few of them in the past. Another similar name is Cali Burrito. That one just one location in my city(I guess).

If I come across the Chipotle hopefully the job description will have the ordering requirement listed before accepting the job. I also think the bowls are best, especially the salad bowl where you get just as much of everything else on it plus an extra dose of lettuce.

$6? For the same report and now pictures? Uuum, no, I would rather pay. I never order the steak or chicken (in my area, gristly and gross). Sofritas all the way. My husband gets the carnitas or barbacoa. I still go as well as my family. We love it. No chips for us though, they were tasteless in my opinion.

No, you didn't read the whole thread. It's a different MSC and the report is super short and simple. It took 10 minutes to do the report.

It’s a different MSC so the report will be different. I don’t know if it will be easier or not as I can’t see the report until I find a shop to accept. So far I only see California locations that are fairly remote.

Edited to add that I was actually able to open the instructions and view the questionnaire. Looks fairly simple with a series of yes/no questions and an overall narrative of the experience at the end.

@wrosie, it's possible. As we all know as MSers, some shops are regional and with different companies.

I know that Village Inn in my town is shopped by one MSC.

In the next town over, which is really actually a shorter drive for me because I live on the edge of my town, it's shopped by a different company. With different guidelines. With different pay....

I find things like that interesting...

I love California Tortilla. They are based in Maryland. The California in their name refers to the avocados in their recipes.

I must not be signed up with the MSC who is now doing them. There are several Chipotle locations in my area, and I haven't seen the shops pop up. For a much shorter report, I'd consider doing them again.But I almost always used to order the salad bowls until they dropped the reimbursement. Then I ordered the cheaper taco option.
