Bank shop bingo

I have a little game I play when doing bank shops. I have an expensive piece of jewelry that I usually keep locked up. It's a solitaire diamond necklace and it's very sparkly. When I have some bank shops to do I wear it with my usual black slacks and printed blouse. It makes a very amusing difference in how I am treated. The bankers go from polite to deferential.
Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it and wonder why they are acting like that.

Agreed, dressing like you ARE investing is the way to go...I have a couple expensive pieces and the ring I wear (on my left hand) says yes, your married (NOT) and doing the footwork for yourself and hubby. I always say Mother passed and left the house in San Francisco to both me and my sister which is true. I've had Bankers
literally ask personal questions and talk about non banking things.....

Live consciously....
That’s nice for you? I don’t see the benefit in influencing a shop. Though I agree that it’s probably more about how you feel than anything.
I don't act differently. I'm not short on confidence in the first place. I just find it amusing. Anything I can do to spice up the shopping day is okay with me. After the 200th explanation about something from a banker some added spice is needed. I think banks are so boring. A veritable sea of beige with funeral parlor like hushed tones.
I don't doubt it. We do have to make things fun. I just encounter so many bank employees who are fumbling through simple questions and providing misinformation. I guess always having something to report keeps me from zoning out.
I just act normal. I happen to wear a good amount of gold jewelry all the time and never take it off, so if bankers think I have money I don't think it makes much difference.
It is easy to say that I have a large inheritance that needs investing, I am also fairly astute when it comes to finance since I keep track of my stocks, etc.
