Haven't shopped in 2.5 years how the industry?

Haven't shopped in 2.5 years been caring for elderly parents both of whom have passed.
Has anything improved or declined with the industry?
Self assigned my first two VTU shops Friday. Simple, quick, profitable.

Not a ton has changed. More people seem to be in the pool lately and more video options available. Otherwise, pretty much the same.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
My area needs more shoppers! This is especially true for some locations with long-ish rotations. The population is scarce, the distances are far, and the sensibility of limiting face-to-face interactions remains the same. This is the high plains. Your tag line says you are "A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.".

How far beyond can you go? smiling smiley Anyway, good luck as you ease (or dive) back in to your shopping life.

I have done some shops while on vacation, but they had GREAT bonuses.

I notice many more shoppers in my town and in the city, so that keeps fee's down, otherwise, same ole same ole.
Routes seem to be the way to make $$....not for all. I concentrate on food jobs, both groceries and restaurants.

I have no idea how many shoppers are in my town or area or on L.I. I base my 80% guess on the names that come and go on this forum.
The big city change I have noticed is more and more chances of at least a small bonus. I do not know if this means there are more shoppers or less shoppers. I expect it means more shoppers unwilling to accept the low base fees. The other change is that some of my favorite small msc's have joined with large scheduling services where their jobs, formerly easy to get, are now out there for all who are with the scheduling company so the competition for my favorite shops is now fierce.
I just got a cosmetics job in my mall from a Canadian company using About Face who contacted me, though this job is not on the job board, nice reimbursement for makeup and fee...lucky me.
