If you're contracting with a legit MSC, no problem whatsoever in giving your direct deposit info. I'll bet 70-100 companies have my direct deposit info.
You can mention the company as long as you don't mention their clients. I get direct deposit with several MSCs and I am not worried about them having my bank info.
The info they need for direct deposit is not sufficient to remove funds from the account. DD is the best, and fastest, way to get your funds. I have used it with many MSCs since 2005 with no problems whatsoever.

Hmmm you guys just gave me a great idea! They have a bunch of account opening shops. I want to do one but didn't want to go through the process of closing it. I could probably just use it strictly for my mystery shopping money.
LOL. I have 3 checking accounts, all of them were opened during shops. Just be certain before you open the account and decide to keep it that there are no monthly service charges.
Alternatively, you could open a separate checking account at your current bank/credit union and just NOT link it to any of your other accounts there. This might avoid a monthly fee since many banks count the total funds on deposit across all your accounts when determining whether or not you qualify for no fees. . Be sure to check out fees.

I have to say I rather enjoyed being paid to open those accounts. One of them paid me $80 to open it and later I was able to do teller shops with that account.
Having direct deposit is just as safe as depositing a check.

I generally prefer the $200-$300 I get from opening accounts online with no report but that's just me.

Thanks for the tips! @walesmaven
@JASFLALMT Yes that's what I'm thinking! They have teller shops for that same bank that I am unable to do because I don't have that bank. And worse comes worse, they have a shop paying $30 to close that bank account as well lol.
bgriffen, Yes! And sometimes the worlds collide and you can do both. The WF account I opened for the $400 bonus has yielded another $75 in easy mystery shop gigs. winking smiley

bf,
I just made $600 doing an account on line, no report. I will soon move those funds to a different bank, that will pay me $500 to do so. No report.

LOL! That's wonderful! Beats getting a free toaster any day of the week!

Unfortunately for people like me, you need to have MONEY to qualify for these perks, LOL!!!

One of those accounts I have had for over 16 years...I don't recall ever seeing any online account openings back then, you young whippersnapper, LOL. The "youngest" account I have is over 10 years old. I haven't really looked into getting anymore checking accounts. I think 3 is enough.

Love Direct Deposit, never had a problem, never worried for a minute (no need to), I get Soc. Sec. direct deposit, it is the way to go, although I also like my Paypal as they deposit next day. Checks take too long. When signing for new companies, you'll find most want Social #, many time's there is a choice of Paypal or DD, but companies have your info. anyway.

I currently have 7 open checking accounts. I was paid about $1200 to open 5 of them. 3 of them i have no need for and I've had them long enough to close them. Will probably do that when I have some free time.

bg,
I actually got paid for closing 3 accounts that I had gotten large bunuses to open. Maybe you can match up your accounts with shops, lol.

My credit union allows multiple checking and savings accounts. I have one of each I just use for Mystery Shopping. I also use a prepaid visa card with them for shops that I only keep on it what I need for a shop.
You're just a afraid of change and tech, rarely are people paid by paper check now. I bet you can't find a major employer who issues a paper check. I'm sure someone will have a list to post. smiling smiley

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
Mercantile and Service Sense are two that pay by check, and two of my favorites...great companies.

DD is of course # with Paypal #2, but I am happy to see a forgotten about check in the mail.....money's money.
