I can understand the frustration with the pay being offered. Some jobs, the pay is insulting. They show how little the care about mystery shoppers.
The book store shop for $5 is really insulting. They want you to go to 3 different departments, to see if you get help. Than ask about an out of print book, than ask someone else to help find a current book. Go to the magazine rack, take a picture. Buy an item (you can return it later if you want) Go to the coffee shop and order a small drink (no reimbursement) and than take a picture of the store.
All this for $5. LOL It just shows you how little they think of mystery shoppers.

It's an insult to mystery shoppers to even offer that kind of pay.

I agree, just delete the 5.00 jobs, no need to read through them, nothing is worth leaving the house and driving for 5 bucks...they can stick it where the sun doesn't shine...sorry, need my coffee. Those that do them are either desperate or will give a desperate report...actually I haven't seen a 5.00 email, why I'm fussy about who I work for.

Okay, John, I just looked on their website. There are some $5 retail shops showing. It does NOT state what you have to do for the shop. That means you actually opened it and looked at it to see the requirements or you have actually done one of these. So that is a waste of time and you only have yourself to blame for being insulted or frustrated about the pay. I don't understand your mindset at all. Have a good day, gotta go!

I did that bookstore shop. $20 bonus though, and I was in the area doing other work.

@JASFLALMT..Wow, I just went through their menu and saw peanuts. I was only kidding about working for peanuts but just found out they do offer free peanuts. This was my first visit to Five Guys. I would gladly scoop some the next time.
I love skimming through bookstores, but there is NO WAY I would do that shop for less than a $20 Bonus, either!@kimmiemae wrote:
I did too.

If you don't want the shop, don't take the shop. There is no need to be a complete (_!_) about it.

The only time I ever did a 5G the manager encouraged me to take home as many peanuts as I wanted. He even handed me an empty bag to fill up. So I felt I got my fee in peanuts which is my fave nut anyway.
