Does Anyone Combine Uber Eats/Door Dash Deliveries with MS-ing?

I've considered "gambling" on setting up a less profitable route (still net profitable, but not a super money maker, I mean) during "slower" ms-ing times. Sometimes I just can't get a good route, due to other shoppers taking my picks and fillers. But, if I take a couple of shops in a busy area, then I know for sure Uber Eats/Door Dash would have jobs there. I could then fill up my time between shops or fill out my mileage "gaps" with these deliveries.

Uber Eats appeals to me more than Uber, b/c you don't have to worry about a passenger. All you need is to be a breathing human being with your own car that is newer than 1999.

I've heard anecdotally that you can combine both, bu never tried it myself.

Uber Eats was such a disaster that the test market here didn't even last a month. I'd try Uber or Lyft to fill in or even one of the personal shopper things where you shop for a customer in a grocery store. You don't make much money with Uber Eats and some places refuse to even deal with them.

Have you heard good things about any specific personal grocery shopping companies? I read that Instacart drives their independent contractors bonkers with threatening-type messages on their phones...ding ding ding until you accept a job. Makes me not want to use them (as a customer). I'd love to try a company that treats their workers well if that exists. Parking is awful by me and there have been times where I walked 4 blocks with groceries only to find that my elevator was out of order- and had to walk up 7 flights.

My problem with Uber is passenger liability. I wouldn't feel comfortable having to be responsible for someone. I think you have to pay for extra insurance as well. With food deliveries, I feel you can just easily give someone food and that's it. No one vomiting in your car (common with Uber at night with drunk people) or fear of accidents.

My sister does Uber Eats. A good day, I think, was $175 gross. Not sure what her net was. I'm going to message her and ask her for her stats. She showed them to me a few weeks ago, but it was during a busy lunch and I didn't jot down notes or what not. One bad thing is that lots of people don't tip. sad smiley Seriously, if I get delivery, I feel it'd be so rude to not tip.

She lives in a small college town and delivers to lots of students.
I signed up with Instacart after talking with a contractor in Aldi last week, who told he worked 20 hours/week and made about $15-$20 an hour. However, after I got my payment card and was able to log into the app I found that it was very difficult to get hours. Each slot was assigned and had somewhere between 7--150 people on the backup list.

You make no tips with UE and the breakdown is not encouraging. Some guy on YT showed a day of driving it and made >$50, I think. [www.youtube.com]
