Uber Eats was such a disaster that the test market here didn't even last a month. I'd try Uber or Lyft to fill in or even one of the personal shopper things where you shop for a customer in a grocery store. You don't make much money with Uber Eats and some places refuse to even deal with them.
My problem with Uber is passenger liability. I wouldn't feel comfortable having to be responsible for someone. I think you have to pay for extra insurance as well. With food deliveries, I feel you can just easily give someone food and that's it. No one vomiting in your car (common with Uber at night with drunk people) or fear of accidents.
My sister does Uber Eats. A good day, I think, was $175 gross. Not sure what her net was. I'm going to message her and ask her for her stats. She showed them to me a few weeks ago, but it was during a busy lunch and I didn't jot down notes or what not. One bad thing is that lots of people don't tip.
Seriously, if I get delivery, I feel it'd be so rude to not tip.
She lives in a small college town and delivers to lots of students.
