Gas Station shops

Not mentioning any brand names because I will be mentioning MSC companies.

Maritz seems to be quitting the gas station business. Or maybe the gas stations are quitting Martiz? Two different gas station companies have left them this year. And I'm not sure about the others because someone had a temper tantrum at Maritz and blocked me from the others.

So where are the gas station shops/audits going to?

It's my guess (and I certainly could be wrong) that one of their gas station clients was a subcontract and the MSC that owned the contract simply pulled it back in. They did that with another huge client recently and upped their outsourced scheduling.

Martiz banned you? Wow. They are the ONLY MSC who I have dropped a shop on for a non emergency, and when I called a rep there, they reassured me that it was okay and I'm still with them. <-- With that dropped shop and then all of my experiences with them in the past, I can safely say that they have one of the best shopper supportive companies out there. Whenever I call or email, I get an answer right away. When I call, the staff there is always sooooo nice.

I have had so many problems with Maritz...every one my responsibility, too. Like I'd go do a route of gas stations, come home, and the internet would be out. Or my PC just wouldn't work, and I'd have to take it in to get it worked on before I could submit my reports Like I was hexed when it came to Maritz (had the exact same problem with The Source, too; but not with dozens of other companies, LOL). I finally got to where I just wouldn't ask them for shops. Because of my record with them (although, in the end, I don't think there was ever a flake or cancellation, just dreaded the reports because something ALWAYS went wrong). I never reached self-assign status (also with The Source!).

But they never cut me off from any of their shops, and when I do shops for them, they are always nicely bonused.

I can't imagine what egregious behavior it would take to get blocked, LOL.

They still have many gas shops in my area.

One of the contracts they "lost" last year had gone through several companies before. It is a bummer because that brand is one of the common gas station brands in the rural midwest. Quite a few co-ops are branded with this company.

Another, with the prehistoric-looking sculptures out front of some, they still have. (I've shopped it for different companies over the years, too.) Around here one could drive up a road and the small towns would alternate between these two brands so I could get a good route.

I see a lot with Alta 360.

^^^Never done them for Alta.....anyone do them? Are they easy to you? Any major hassles with them?

Are they they ones where owners/clerks run after you to try to chase you away?

I have been doing them for Alta and have had good experiences - responsive and helpful schedulers.

The ones I've done with Alta, and it's been a while, I think I just had to make one purchase not gas and inside.

Station, main sign, pump, pump topper/promo sign, island/canopy and bathroom I believe are the only pics needed.

The ones that Alta has in our area must be done Monday thru Friday, before 6pm. I'm out. That is the one that used to piggyback scheduling with the shops with the prehistoric sculptures.

Do you mean the big green animals? I have done one of the ALTA360 gas shops was not to bad but seem to take forever because it was the first one of that brand that I had done. We only have two of those stations in the eastern part of the state. The other stations for ALTA360 were also with MF I double dipped those for a few times. But I never did the separate shops at the same time. Always do one MSC first then go do other shops and then go back and do the shops for the other MSC. One was for the mother road gas and the other was for the convenience store.

I followed the green company but don't know where the yellow went. I was expecting them to start this month in my area.

Yes. I did them February and May with Maritz but can't see anything in the southeast usa right now

I don't see a seashore audit in Ipsos survey list.

They wouldn't move between P2 and P3, they'd move between a P3 and a P1 for the next year if they were so inclined. This client has always had occasional random shops show up mid-period, I gather that is what Hoju has done, or perhaps they were P2- July shops that never got taken, or the POP audits.

P3 doesn't begin until Sept. No reason to be concerned about them.

That's what I was thinking. There are current POP Audits available. I seriously doubt they'd end up anywhere else before Jan.

The gas stations aren't nearly as attractive without the self assign and generous scheduling I was used to. I can make that $20 in some much easier (air conditioned) ways. I'm upping my game and moving them into second (or third) place in importance. I still have a soft spot for Maritz though and will do the seashore shops whenever the pay fits my needs.
