Are GeoVerify and GPS Verify apps the same thing?

A company (maybe two companies) have recently asked me to use GPS Verify at the beginning of a job. I downloaded the app, but the icon is the same as for GeoVerify. Are they the same thing?

I believe that they are. I continued to use 'GeoVerfiy' and the reports accepted the codes that I received and entered. I think the emphasis was on obtaining the code in order to verify your presence at the location, not on a different product.

Yes. I had to remove Geo Verify on the request of a company I do weekly shops for (3) and install GPS Verification.
Its the same app, different name probably with some updates. I'm still using Geo verify until its requires me to update. Haven't had any rejections or problems so far.

I couldn't use my installed version of Geo Verify on a recent shop; kept getting a prompt that I needed to update. But it also wouldn't update. So I downloaded GPS Verfiy, and it worked like a charm. I figured it was a very similar app, but it makes sense that it's a newer version with a different name, since I couldn't update the old one. They probably had so many problems with the original Geo Verify that they didn't want the new one to carry the same name!

I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

My old one didn't work more than it worked. I just finally stopped using it.

So far, the old version has continued to work for me. When it stops, I now know the solution, but if it isn't broken, I'm not going to fix it.
