I cannot get them to print. I've tried different browsers, etc.

My computer just grins and me, and I THINK it's going "na na na na na na" with its fingers in its ears.

Can you download the directions to your computer and then print from there?

Try using CTRL key + P key to see if that will execute print direct to printer. If that doesn't work, let us know how you tried printing before you posted. Also, do you have powerpoint or not?

If you have Office you have powerpoint.

At the top of the Power Point screen, click "File."

Scroll down, and click "Export."

Click the white box in the center of the screen that says "Create PDF."

This will create a pdf of your guidelines. Power Points can take a long time to print. A pdf may be quicker.

Well, let me see. I tried to copy and paste to an e-mail to myself, because I know how to print out an e-mail, LOL.

I did try the CNTRL+P. It did nothing.

Misspocos, I do not know what means "download to computer and print from there".

As for how I tried to print, I clicked on "print" (I think the printer icon is what I actually clicked on).

I use an USB hub; sometimes when I try to print from Chrome, I have to unplug that, and plug the printer directly into my laptop before the item will print. Tried that, too. Did nothing.

I ended up making a "cheat sheet" from the multi-page instructions; then I cancelled the shop, as I am unable to provide "time and locations stamped" photos. My digital camera is date set in June 2007, and every time I change it, it flips back to June 2007 after every photo. I am NOT resetting the date/time stamp 100 times in one day. And I don't think it has location info at all. One of the requirements was a building photo on aarrival, and a separate photo of the building after the shop, so they can verify the time and location. LOL.

The darling scheduler tried very, very hard! She said I could take the photos with my smart phone and e-mail them to her and she would put them in the report for me! What a doll!

Alas, my smart phone is dumber than dirt (but probably smarter than me), because the "location services" doesn't work unless I'm on wifi -- and there's no guarantee at all that the shop location has wifi I can log on to.

With the additional requirements, I just felt too overwhelmed by the job.

But, as it seems many MSCs are moving in this direction (PPP for shops), I still feel that I must learn this

There is a battery in your camera which maintains the time and date. That battery needs to be replaced If you tell me the make and model of your camera, I should be able to tell you where the battery is located and what type it is. It is NOT the battery/batteries that power the flash on the camera. [edited to add the word "NOT"]

Another bite-sized response. If you are reading the email on a computer, then the most reliable way to work with the PowerPoint file is to download it to your computer. You said that you do not know what this means. To tell you how to do it in a meaningful way, I / we need to know if you are using a Windows or Apple computer, what browser you are using, and what email program you are using. It really isn't hard, but we need to reduce the number of variables before I or someone else can help you.

Yet another bite-sized response. It is possible to open an email on a smartphone and then open an attached PowerPoint presentation and even print from your phone to a Wifi enabled printer ($49 at Staples), but that, of course, depends on the smartphone, the operating system (iOS or Android), the version of the operating system, the model of the phone, etc.

Given the issues that you are having with your phone, it may be time to get a new one. You don't need the latest greatest. The $200 phones from Samsung are what was state-of-the-art from Samsung 3 years ago. They would work fine for you. This community can help you.

My computer has Windows (I think XP).

I normally use Firefox, but it seems when I click on the guidelines for these shops, it automatically opens in Chrome.

And I can't get Chrome to print.

As for opening stuff on my phone and printing from the phone.....way over my head.

I am unable to access the web on my phone, even when I am on my home's wifi. By that, I mean I can't get any browsers to open, not safari, firefox, or any other. I just get that little thingy that goes round and round and round, but never opens a browser.

But I KNOW I'm actually ON "the web", because I can read and send e-mails; watch videos on YouTube, stuff like that.
