Independent Contractor Pro status

I have been noticing messages on various MS sites to register for Independent Contractor Pro status. Can anyone explain if it is beneficial to shoppers to do so?

Membership is free. Simply choose your username, type in your email address, and choose a password. You immediately get full access to the forum.

Pro status is done on the main Sassie platform site. It does not cost anything. It solidifies your position as an independent contractor in the event that the IRS at some point in the future were to audit you and question whether you are running a business or engaging in a hobby. Some MSCs prefer Pro status, and, ass I said, it costs nothing and is easy to obtain.

I did it on job slinger.

I think it may help give you cred with schedulers. It seems like when I apply for shops they get approved more quickly than they did before.

I haven't noticed it being any quicker they still take their time but that probably because they have to cover like half of the country.
