Do you like the Columbia bank teller shops?

Hi all,

Just wondering if you like these shops. Been waiting to try and get the bonus you get for completing 3 of these but just isnt enough in my area. I am considering opening an account just so I can do these teller shops when they come around. Are these shops relatively easy or just not worth opening an account?

You'll need $100 to open an account and $300 balance to avoid the monthly service charge. Narratives for the MSC are longer and more detailed than regular bank shops. I've done them on and off for years and always get shops back requesting more notes. So, no, not easy.
Thanks for the response Ipotter. Just for clarification; I'm used to the 5 positive or 5 negative this msc requires as I shop for them often. Is there alot more than that; narratively speaking for the teller shops?

This sounds like a shop at a different bank. For this one, do you evaluate the lobby teller and the drive-thru teller? Are there scenarios for customers and non-customers?

Hmmm Ipotter..the length really doesnt sound like the scheduling company I usually sign up with shops from..it could be but Im wondering if we might be talking about 2 separate mscs? I know we cant divulge more than that but I am curious

Yes, we just might be. Since it's a violation to talk about who the MSC is, we'll just leave it at that. If you'd led with the MSC and not the client, we would have probably been able to discuss it in greater depth. If your shop experiences have been easy, this is a definitely a different company.
I will also point out that there is more than multiple Columbia Banks in the US which are not connected with each other at all.

Absolutely correct myst4au. However, the shopper lives in the Pacific NW, as do I, so we're likely talking about the same banks. (I just don't have a location footer on my signature.)
