Does anyone know if these places have an associated MSC?

I live in a small rural area and spend a ton of time traveling routes. I would like to try to travel less, but there are not a lot of shops in my city. Does anyone know if any of these businesses that we have in my small Nebraska town use an MSC?

Some of those are shopped. If you keep signing up with more MSCs, you will find them. Good luck!
Excuse us if we don't flood you with answers, we aren't allowed to. First, most confidentiality agreements we agree to when we register with MSCs prohibit such sharing of clients and other information. Second, the rules of this forum prohibit such sharing, even if/when a particular MSC allows it.

Sestrahelena is offering the best advice under the circumstances--keep signing up with more MSCs. You also can cruise the job board here as schedulers frequently share the name of a client when they post a shop.
I think maybe 10 on your list are shopped.

When you post on the forum, read the blue pop up box that says "do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies".
10 was my count as well but 2 of them won't show up on job boards anyway.

I can't count 10 that are shopped and I'm signed up with 147 MSCs, but then I believe some are only shopped regionally.

Here is some information that might help you:

Rent-a-Center - I and many others have gotten blocked from using this MSC's website

Verizon - I and many others have gotten blocked from using this MSC's website

US Cellular - it sounds like a franchise of one of the bigger carriers and if so, it, along with a bunch of other cellular companies may be shopped by this company - I and many others have gotten blocked from using this MSC's website

Burger King - I did work here but I had to meet the delivery truck and take temperatures of the frozen and fresh foods so it wasn't a mystery shop but it paid very well.

Applebee's - currently they have a pickup/to go shop going on.

Subway - recently did a revealed shop where I gave out an award if they upsold me.
LOL. I have shopped 19 of the above list.

Keep signing up for more shopping companies.

I will give you a hint -- some of them are the ONLY shops offered by their MSCs in the area.

In other words, you have to sign up with the particular MSC to find the ONE SHOP PER YEAR they will have in your town.

Others on the list are NOT on any aggregate job board; you'll have to check each company's website to find the jobs.

Others you will find by carefully reading and following the directions in the "sticky post" in the New Shoppers area, titled "How To Find Jobs".

Whereabouts in Nebraska are you?

(I miscounted; I have shopped more than 20 on the list.)

"Have shopped" and "are shopped" are not the same thing. I have shopped BK before and it had nothing to do with delivery trucks. I haven't seen any shops for them currently. Same thing with GNC and some others.
And seriously if one Wendy's franchise in Hatch, NM hires a company to shop them, can we really say Wendy's is shopped? Technically maybe, but from a practical standpoint no.

Oops. I'm your competition, although I drive 100 miles each way to get to North Platte.

To me, North Platte is a "big city", LOL.

That's why I can't find jobs! You nab them up first! Lol

I counted 15.
I'm coming up with about 15, give or take. Some may be regional. As others have stated, sign up with as many MSC's as you can. I'm signed up with over 200, even though I work with less than a quarter of that total. Start with this forum's official list and go from there.
I would love to have half of that amount of places in my city lol. I have seen a few of them on misc job boards, but since most of those places aren't anywhere near me, I don't pay too much attention. You might want to check out some of the gig apps, they don't pay as much, but I've seen a lot of "audits" for many of these companies.

A handful of these appear on the smartphone apps, too. Such as Mobee, Observa, etc.

Bilingual (Spanish<>English)
I have completed multiple types of demos, audits, and merchandising tasks in some of those locations. If you do not mind gigs that are not mystery shops, you might have more opportunities for working. I found most of the jobs by signing up for companies and being referred for jobs.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. - Lao-Tzu
I have signed up for probably 75 companies and have Mobee, FA, Gigspot, Gigwalk, Observa(haven't seen anything in it), EasyShift. I see most in FA but they don't pay much. I also have Presto and Ipsos.
Not at all happy with EasyShift. I spent over an hour on a recent job and they denied it saying I used fisheye lens on my camera. From looking in their forum it appears to be an issue with using their app camera with the newer Samsung 10 phones. I pointed that out to them and they haven't responded since.

I just really need to be able to earn some extra money for bills. I'm on disability, my husband has cancer, have a big bill from Mayo Clinic for my daughters back surgery and am behind on bills. I'm open to merchandising and audits. I would even do the video shops if I had the equipment. But some of these audits paying 8 or 10 for all the photos they want aren't worth the time and travel.

Try working for InstaCart, Uber, and/or Rover. If you have an extra room think about Airbnb.

If you have good writing skills and/or you're good in applied subjects think about becoming a tutor. Skooli and Tutorhub are great ones to start with.

I've looked into them. I have a convertible so uber and lyft are out. We only have Walmart for groceries and the food delivery services haven't hit here either yet.

That's what I have been doing and then trying to check all of them in hopes that something in a nearby area will pop up. If i see some jobs in a nearby city i try to find others to route with them.

Download and check every gig app. Several are on those apps.

Us Cellular is a cellular company on its own. It is just not a nationwide company. They have multiple states their service is in. They are shopped by an MSC. Applebees's also has sit and eat shops currently.

I agree with the other posters. Just keep signing up. There is a list on here of tons of companies to sign up for. I live in a rural area also and I have noticed that some stores are shopped by multiple MSCs
How or why do you get blocked by a MSC? Is this a common occurrence or just an issue with a specific MSC?

Rts, I believe the blocking thing refers to what one particular ms company does when their algorithm says you ve shopped long enough with them.

I have! Thanks though for the suggestion.

I would also recommend looking in areas outside of your home when trying to find which clients specific companies have. For instance, there's several Ruth Chris where i live and i kept looking for the MSC who had them. I happened to be visiting family in my home state and had down time so i checked the boards in my home state. I found Ruth Chris and others that I was looking for. The whole time I was registered with the MSC. Sometimes some areas are shopped quarterly or just by region. Some are also franchised own and shops are dependent on if that particular owner wants to participate in a mystery shop program. There's 4 Sbarro's in my city but for years only two locations were shopped. Just last month the location closest to me showed up.
I've been with that MSC since 2001 (they had a different name back then). I am still an active shopper and have never been blocked.
