Anyone willing to do this for 200.00?

I attempted to do this same shop. Go to a furniture store, apply for credit, make a purchase. I would be reimbursed for up to $200. I could keep the item or return it. I tried to purchase a lamp or something. The furniture store would not let me use the card for purchases under $1500. I did not want to deal with purchasing something large and worry about having to return it, restocking fees, etc. I did not make a purchase. I informed the MSC and they canceled the shop. I wasted about an hour of my time for nothing.

I think it's odd that the store wouldn't allow you to use the card for whatever purchase you want to make. If the MSC knows this, they shouldn't post the shops. How many shoppers can afford to spend $1500 on a piece of furniture? Or, if they can afford to spend that much, how many of them would need to do it? If I spend that much on furniture, it had better be a nice antique piece or something unique, not some mass produced overpriced stuff like the store in question carries.
My guess is that the actual bank issuing the credit card is trying to understand what is going on. It is unlikely that the Bank (I know which one it is) has a requirement that you spend $1500. That is something that the merchannt is doing. I don't know if the Bank if getting the information about why the shop was canceled. INHO, there should be a partial (or even full) payment to the shopper to report what happened. I think the Bank is clueless.
