Recording app suggestions?

What are your preferred recording apps? I have a spare Android phone I've been using to record. I found an app that marks minutes: seconds and has a memo feature for pinpointing places in the call, but the app is a bit buggy. What I mean is, as I'm listening to the recording it stops displaying the recording time. Sometimes the little marker even quits moving even though it is still playing. It's frustrating because I have to stop the recording, back out of it, then restart it again.

I'd like something with those same features that works correctly.

I use Smart Recorder

I also use Smart Recorder, and for timing, I use Mystery Stopwatch Lite.

I use Otter. It's a paid app after so many recording minutes, but it does transcripts and is quite good.

I use call recorder for phone calls and I use my video for all other recording. It really helps when you have to give a description when someone doesn't have a name tag on.
I use a $10 usb flash drive that has a recording ability. It is small and takes great recordings. If you're in class you can get a full day of lectures on the drive
A cautionary warning that you need to be sure that you and the person you are recoding (if on the phone) are both in single-party consent states. If either of you is in a dual-party consent state, you will be committing a felony if you record them without their permission. I am not addressing the likelihood of getting caught, merely apprising you of the law. If caught, you would be charged by the district attorney and you would need a criminal defense attorney.

If it's a phone call, you might be able to set up a conference call. That's how it happened for my only recorded scenario so far. They gave me an 800# to call into and when I entered the call ID and password, it automatically called the target and recorded my call. I would imagine there's a way to do this too, without the client setting it up.
