$12 Shop requires business casual dress

This just struck me as funny .., you have to get (a little) dressed up to make $12? Hahaha!

Where I live, business casual includes and non-blue jeans that are clean, not ripped and not frayed. Add a knit top or a shirt/blouse and you are good to go. Oh, and no flip flops, lol.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I tend to do a lot of my shops on my way home from my 9-5 during the week, so this isn't a big deal. On the weekends, though? Heck no. I'm shopping in my jeans or no deal.
A lot depends on any difficulty the MSC is experiencing with job completion. One company granted me a waiver for a revealed shop in non-business attire. I was going to be less than one mile away assisting with the unloading of a truck and they had a need, which I filled and scored a $12 fee + dinner.
Here in the SW, business casual if pretty much jeans and a pullover T. Or even in the summer walking (length) shorts and a T.
I was going to do it yesterday on my way home. I was dressed okay, but my shoes were Skechers and I didn’t think that fit into the business casual category. Maybe I need to leave shoes in my car! smiling smiley
Business casual is so poorly defined. In most cities, it includes anything that counts as a "nice" look. Nice jeans. Nice leggings. Nice sneakers. You could easily fail that in khakis and whatever, which I often feel that I do.
Jeans as business casual? Shorts?? What in the world. I've been to tons of seminars and professional development workshops over the years that have touched on the topic of what business casual attire means. Never, ever has anyone said "sure, jeans and shorts are ok." I shudder to think what y'all consider regular casual. Naked?
I wouldn't do a shop for $12 unless I was already in the area and I added it to my route or it was less than a mile from my home
Business casual used to mean nice slacks and nice shirts with closed shoes. Now, it seems to be whatever fits or at least covers the butt crack.

Could easily be the same here in Los Angeles depending on what business you are in. Even many uptight companies have casual Fridays where you can wear t shirts and jeans.
