AT&T Audits: Long vs. Short?

There are two AT&T audits open in my area at "make an offer" status, and already paying more than usual base amount. I've never done one. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the long and the short one? Both instruct to arrive at least two hours before closing, and both are paying the same rate. I remember a long time ago a thread about one of these versions (long, I think), and it didn't seem at all worth it at base pay.

I don't mind announced audits, and I assume both of these are announced, but the info on the short one is very sketchy.

I have completed both of these audits this year. Generally the "short" audit takes me no less than 25 minutes to complete and the "long" audit takes a minimum of 45 minutes. These time estimates are when the person assisting at the store is not interrupted by customers or employees. I also believe that I could be a little quicker than many other auditors so you may want to factor that into the time. (As a comparison, I can conduct most gasoline audits in under 20 minutes while I often hear other auditors state 45-60 minute averages). I'll also add that the MSC does allow questions to be skipped altogether if the shop is too busy to help with the questions. I've certainly submitted more than one shop this year without having to answer all questions.

The short audit tends to be mostly focused on security issues whereas the longer audit is security plus health and safety.

My minimum fee for these audits has been $25 but going forward I probably will not accept less than $40 for the "long" audit. I will happily continue to conduct these audits when the fee is acceptable.

I have yet to come across one of those.

I just did two, though I'm not sure if they were 'long' or 'short'! They told me to leave two hours for them but I was able to do the first in 45 minutes and the second in 35 minutes. But that's because there were no customers present either time. The first time is a bit fussy but once I knew what I was looking for and how to help the employees help me, they were easy.

Heck, I don't know what the difference between the long and short is. I can't tell. Anyway, I don't do them for less than $25. They can take about 45 minutes, but I have done them a lot quicker. I learned from experience. If it is your first time, you will probably spend at least 45 minutes doing one. Caution.... If you know a store has high traffic, don't go. There are some locations that are very busy all the time and that will effect how long the shop will take too.

I did one recently after it sitting for months and being finally being bumped up to a decent pay. It said to allow two hours. It took about 35 to 45 minutes. The store was busy so I had to skip a few questions (maybe two) .

Well, they were both gone by the time I decided to give at least one of them a try. But they seem to always hang around until they are bonused to at least $20 or $25, so maybe next time....

Thank you all for the info; that helps a lot! When you see to allow 2 hours, it seems so NOT worth the fee! But it sounds like they don't take that long at all. At least not under normal circumstances.
