Oh, man, I won't name names, but it's really tempting to say who would take these....and then come on here and complain the shops weren't accepted for nit-picking reasons, LOL!!!

Sorry...I'm really negative today.
I was curious, so I looked him up. He was last active on November 7th. In the days before that, he was up to the usual stuff. Maybe he is being moderated, and refuses to be moderated, so does not log on?

Who is listing these? I must not have any in my area (or I’m not signed up with them).
They wouldn't get this shopper, maybe some other. I have passed on 50.00 targeted shops.

And, if it's the same ones that I've seen, the company that is posting them take forever to pay, the pay date listed on your shop log is completely incorrect, and give you attitude when you dare question when your payment will actually be received. No thank you!
I don't do targeted apartment shops for less than $100 and that's assuming its in my neighborhood, Then again if it were for Cirrius it could be $500 and I would say no.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

LOLOL.

I am a new shopper and I’ve been doing targeted apartment shops for $30 bucks. The furthest I’ve driven to do a shop is 61 miles one way. I know that job in particular was dumb but I wanted to see the area and didn't know how many hours the report would take to complete. I thought this was normal pay in this field. They constantly email me ‘suggesting’ when to make calls and when to submit my reports. I work full-time too so this is annoying. When I do the math I’m only making minimum wage, less once taxes come out. Also, yesterday I got an email asking if I want to do a targeted shop 119mi away for $50! I quit!
I need more than $50 to do a targeted shop next door.

I have only done one targeted shop and that was a bank and I got lucky as she was usually a floater and I just stumbled onto her that day. But yes now it would take a lot more.
I signed up for an apartment shop last week because the MSC txted me asking if I would be willing. It was paying $25 & they added a bonus of $8. I said sure, but then this morning they contacted me to tell me it was a targeted shop. There was nothing in the original job post or the test or the confirmation email that it was targeted. /SIGH! I only accepted the job because I was going to be in that area anyways & just to see what an Apartment shop was like. Now I got blindsided with this complication.
sil2222 inquires of the Buff--Why would you not work for Cirrus ?

Bob replies--There are two reasons why I could never imagine accepting a shop from Cirrus:

1-When I investigated Cirrus a few years ago, their stated pay period was 90 days after the end of the month in which the job was received and accepted.
2-Every poster I have read has needed to chase their fees.

Someone who has no idea what they are getting into. A person who has never done one before.
sil2222 Although my spokesperson shopperbob has answered on my behalf I will answer myself.

The pay period is one of the longest in the industry. As long as I have been on this forum, I have heard about problems receiving pay on time from Cirrus even at their outrageously long pay schedule. I don't really do many apartment shops but the ones I do are non-targeted and for EPMS which pays fast and like clockwork.

If I were you, I'd cancel the shop or ask for more money. You agreed to do Y shop at a total of $33. The shop is now Z shop and more complex, and they expect you to do it for the same $$? Nope. How did they contact you about the targeted requirement? "Oh, by the way, we forgot to tell you this is a targeted shop"? "Oh, by the way, there's a mistake in the original job listing; it's targeted."

It would be interesting to see just how they explained this rather (lol) significant oversight on their part!

I did one targeted shop for EPMS, for $75 (it was bonused @ $35). I would do more but where do you get more telephone numbers, after one from Google Voice, lol.? Once your name and call back number are in their system, you need more contact numbers for EPMS.
Objective database rating of re-marketing companies (MSCs) would be helpful if it were both quantitative and qualitative. To be helpful, ratings would have to to be publicly accessible in a searchable database. The recorded rating of re-marketers as provided by contractors would require a well-maintained website with up-to-date information, and a requirement of uploaded proofs with a standard for inclusion. It would have to preserve anonymity using redacted logs (not showing client names or contractor names).

Redacted logs would include application date, scheduling date, survey number, completion date, contractor grade, review date, invoice date, payment date, and a place to upload documentation of contact in cases of non-payment. Based on the data extracted from redacted logs, calculations of mean, median, and modal figures could be generated for variables such as scheduling responsiveness, payment amount, timely payment, percent non-payment, grading justification and quantity and quality of reviewer feedback. Listings and guidelines could be evaluated for accuracy, completeness, clarity, brevity, use of summary data, tables, charts, or infographics. Qualitative sections would allow additional contractor feedback in narrative form.

Maintenance would be a full-time job unless it was created in an extremely user-friendly context perhaps like that used on public data collection sites like ancestry.com. Even then, and even if there were OCR data transfer, someone would have to clean data, remove duplicates, verify survey numbers, etc. Probably a SBA grant or some other neutral grant source could fund it. To keep it unbiased and free of conflict of interest, I would not think it should be commercialized.

You just change your GoogleVoice number periodically. I’ve had about 30 different numbers...

I had just signed up for Cirrus and after read up on them I decided to delete my application and mark them as a 10-foot pole in my bookmarks so I will not be tempted again.
Or he has signed up under another user name like spicy does...lol....she has come up with some good ones!
