Lowe's Christmas Tree Shops

Did anyone pick one of these up for the weekend? The regular Lowe's shop was available at the same location, so I decided to do both, since the location is a good 15 or 20 minutes one way. I figure I should maximize the trip, and they said a shopper can do both. I wanted to do the tree shop on Monday, since I have other shops in the area, and the drop-dead deadline is Wednesday, but apparently they want to get them all done over the weekend. sad smiley

I really didn't want to do the standard $20 one, but it doesn't sound too awfully bad from what others here have said, and the report doesn't look too bad.

I did this one. It wasn’t bad at all. The only difficult part for me was getting help in the Christmas tree area (I had to wait 20 minutes total, and no one ever showed up).
I did one today and it was so easy, The employee was not too helpful and I reported that in the form. I got a 10 .. too bad there are not any more!
I did three of the Christmas trees today. Reports were easy. And I got a $5 bonus on each. Total 105 for about an hour's worth of work total. The worst part was waiting for someone to help me at each location. Only one associate was knowledgeable.
IMO Lowes's are the easiest shop I usually max these out each rotation most with bonuses.

So, I bundled the tree shop with a regular Lowe's shop where you have to shop for items in two specific departments. The guidelines are rather ambiguous (so what else is new) about whether you have to use ALL of the "need-behind-the-need" reasons for shopping for these items, or whether these are the only allowable reasons. I get that they don't want you to use reasons that would not lead to probing questions by the salesperson, but do they actually expect a shopper to enumerate all of those reasons, or just choose from the list as appropriate?

I've avoided these Lowe's shops because they don't seem worth the base fee (and I'm sure I couldn't get a bonus since they know I'm doing the other shop!), but since I'll be there anyway doing the tree shop, I figured I'd give it a try.

I always found it tricky to balance between using the need-behind-the-need reasons and at the same time not "leading" the associate. So I would not necessarily volunteer those reasons but would use them only if asked the appropriate questions. I might add other reasons as well that fit into my real-life situation, but not if they conflicted with the stated reasons. That's just my two cents. You're right, the guidelines are somewhat ambiguous.
I picked up two of the tree shops. One of the locations also had a bonused two-department shop as well. I went out to do it last evening, giving myself what I thought was plenty of time. There was no one to be found in the garden center in either place, although I only went to the double shop last night, since it took so long. It wound up being $95 for two shops, since I didn't get the second bonus for submitting before 11 p.m. last night. I would have gotten to the second store 55 minutes before closing if I'd gone from one to the other.

If I *hadn't* had to wait for a mini-millennia in the garden center, and then wait for 15 extra minutes for no one to show up in the thermostat section, even after being paged, I would have made decent time on this even with having to wait on someone in the garden center. Overall, I made decent money for the grouping, so I'm definitely not complaining.

What is with the question asking if the tree salesperson suggested an extended warranty, installation, removal, etc? I mean, at first I thought it was possibly from the other shop form for the same location, but that question wasn't on there when I entered the report for the other shop. So....

On the other hand, the associate was so invested in my getting this artificial tree (second shop) that I have been feeling bad about not going back to get it. I mean, he was genuinely invested in helping me convince my non-existent boyfriend that this was the tree that we wanted. He made me want the tree. He got a glowing report. He loaded the boxed one on the hand cart and was taking it all around everywhere we walked so no one else could grab it while we talked. It was really cute. Seriously, if I had the money I'd go get that tree. But it's $229 (he looked up the sale price for me). He even expressed disappointment that he wouldn't be starting today until 1:00 and so would miss us when we came in this morning to purchase the tree. sad smiley
same! I had to go linger by customer service until someone asked if I needed something. And my store didn't know much about the tech thermostats. but I still got paid. and omg, yes the guy totally sold me on a flocked tree. I legit almost bought it. he showed me the box and everything.

I missed the Christmas tree one here in Tulsa but the other ones I had signed up for 2 of then and then read the report and realized that it was actually four shops in one with the purchase and return. $5.00 per shop I would not do a drive thru shop for that if they did not reimburse for the food.
