webinar for the affects a AB5 Calif. on the MSPA site

Legislative Update for Evaluators

Wednesday, December 18th (2-3 pm ET)

On this webinar, Patrick Hollrah will address the potential effect of the recently enacted AB 5 in California on mystery shopping. The webinar will clarify why evaluators must be independent and how mystery shopping opportunities would likely diminish if evaluators are deemed employees.
Go to the MSPA site and register. Get the facts for the affect of AB 5 on mystery shoppers.

It's clear I've been banned for this group. I'll warn others to stay away. LOL

Of course, it is worth remembering that MPSA is a lobbying group for its members, which are the MSCs. Listening would be interesting, but even from the description, I can see that they are biased. In reality, this will play out in court, starting with Uber and Lyft. Once those cases get settled (I am not sure that they have even been filed yet, but Uber was protesting even before AB 5 was passed in California passed), it will impact mystery shoppers. NJ is also moving against Uber using existing laws, so this will probably take years to sort out.

I'll let you know what happens in the discussion. I am surprised my post was seen. I'm chatting with other mystery shoppers on another site.
Thank you. It is good for shoppers to find out all angles of issues that might affect us. smiling smiley
