Presto motor oil audit

Are the motor oil audits worth doing for $14? There's a participating gas station practically every half mile near me, so I could chain together several.

Instructions look simple but there is no mention of an LOA or reveal so, probably, the most difficult part is not getting noticed. Thanks for the tip, BTW. I rarely check Presto.
I love those easy in and out, report in the car and on to the next one shops. Unfortunately there are none near me. I would take all I could do in a day.
I took one to try it out. As soon as I took it, though, the rest were all grayed out, apparently indicating they had reached their quota. (Or maybe it's just something specific to me.) The station I did had only two brands of oil, and even then I did not feel comfortable standing there entering data for such a long time. If I did it again I would try to just take the pictures and then fill out the data in my car. I really wish I had seen these yesterday when I did revealed audits at three of the stations on the list.
I managed to snag a few and they were very simple. The hardest part was not being covert, like I thought. Nobody even noticed me taking pics. The hardest par was trying to use Presto. It kept saying My location was wrong, constantly stopped to process itself, kept the keyboard open, reverted to the last text box even four questions down the page and still required full bars of reception to work. Gray pins were reserved and so were blue pins. So why the color difference? I dunno. So stupid.
Picked up 4 today. After completing the first one and knowing what was required, the rest were 10-minute shops.
I did four yesterday. Today I tried to do one, and it won't submit. Apparently survey was changed today sometime after I started the audit and before I finished it. I am not being shown the new questions. I have a help desk ticket in but not sure how to log into the help tickets. Apparently you need a special password. Anyone else experience this type of situation with Presto?
Shop rejected due to blurry photos. After spending 30 minutes fighting the Presto Android app to get that report in and now the rejection, dont think I'll be trying any more of these.
Presto strikes again! Maybe if someone keeps reading complaints, they'll fix it. Nah, they seem to be quite pleased with their app.
I did three of these last week and had tried to claim seven that would have made a nice little route but then the other pins started turning gray and "reserved". I checked back in 12 hours and they were blue again then after the first pin I grabbed they all went gray again. What's the deal with this? I have checked them day and night and they are all still there, but "reserved". Probably 25-30 within a 40 mile radius still left on the map. I would really like to do more of these.
@HM1974 Without getting into the specifics of this particular project, a lot of the projects on Presto actually require far fewer shops than there are pins. So, for example, they may be aiming for 100 submitted shops but post 1000 pins to get them, because which pins get done aren't important. The end result is that it can look to you like someone is claiming 1000 shops when in reality it's just that all 100 have been claimed/submitted.

This is a common point of confusion, though, so possibly there's a better way we could present the information.

There are 13 near me that have been in reserved status since day 1. I've checked all times of the day and night but it does not change. Decided not worth the effort.
@whiterosie I'm curious - would you prefer not to see those pins at all, as opposed to seeing them grey?
Definitely. It annoys me because I have a "shopper" in my area that does this on other platforms--grabs everything up and then keeps extending. Businesses have told me so many stories about him trying to extort them for free coffee, chips, etc. Best as I can tell he only does app shops such as Field Agent, Mobee, etc.

At most of these stations I conduct revealed audits every other month. The owners know me and my standards. The idea of him destroying all the good will towards shoppers I have nurtured over the years really irks me so I hope this is just a matter of max being done and these are not needed.
For whatever reason my map has all of the shops locked down. I’ve only done two so far. I was in there for about five minutes getting my photos and some of the shops will be tough to be covert, because some stores are so small everywhere you go, there are eyes on you. I try to go when they are really busy, that way they’re handling customers so they can’t really see what I’m doing. The aisles can be tiny as well So you have to get crafty to get some of the photos you need, but it’s doable. Easy money. I have about 100 shops within a 40 mile radius going either way of me and none of them or opened up to except right now. I don’t think it’s because somebody else has them because they’re not disappearing. If anybody knows what I can do to get those bad boys unlocked, please advise :-).
Never mind, i didn't see all of the previous replies which addressed this issue of the grayed out shops. BUMMER. I would rather not see all the grayed out pins and have hope that I might be able to do them just so Prestomaps can maximize their ability to meet their quota.

I am new to the Presto Application. I did my first shop last night - Motor Oil. How did you upload multiple pictures. When I attempt to upload a secondary image the first disappears. Are the images stacked or being stored. At the end of the survey for additional images, again only one was "saved". I submitted a ticket but have a couple to do today. Any advice?
I would advise you to try to at least get one frame even if you have to do an angled shot. If you have a good camera it should still be a good picture. That is what I had to do. Where I had extra pictures I uploaded wherever I could (one shop only had oil on one shelf but you are given a chance to upload pictures on top, middle and bottom shelf so I used those spots for extra pics). I’ve only been able to do two shops, so far but both were approved.
Thank you for the speedy reply. My first image was at an angle so that's good. I contacted IPSOS the mystery shop company and submitted the additional images as a backup. I didn't know what else to do. FYI the email/ contact information at the end of the Guidelines is incorrect as my initial email bounced back. Thank you again Gina!
