TRH Prices Up, Reimbursement Same

Did a Texas Roadhouse shop last night and noticed that the prices have gone up. We never stay within reimbursement, so that's not a big issue for us, but we decided to "splurge" last night by ordering an appetizer to share. Ordered water to drink and no dessert. Still well over reimbursement. Sadly, my meal wasn't up to TRH usual standards. My husband's was, though. And the staff hit just one of the benchmarks. sad smiley

I think they need to up that reimbursement. I've noticed that in my area, shops have been staying open longer, and they've been offering bonuses on some dining-room shops, not just the bar shops. That was something I rarely saw when I first started shopping them.

I'm not sure I'm up for being crowded like a sardine (there was barely enough room on the table to eat, and the server wasn't removing empty glasses and dishes), using a dirty restroom, and having to start ordering chicken or in order to not go way over budget. I'd rather do BJ's and get the same reimbursement plus the fee.

I haven't done the dining room shops, only the bar shops. The bar shops offer happy hour specials, so I always come in under reimbursement.

I get the shops in the beginning of the month and always ask for a bonus. Maybe that will work for the dinner shops.

The highest bonus I have ever seen was $5, and that's if they are truly in a hole. We are always over the reimbursement. I order chicken, but my husband likes the steak, and we order water.

The latest emails have said that the shop is now different. Has anyone seen the new report?
I completed my first TRH shop 10 1/2 yrs. ago and I seem to recall this being the fourth occasion when menu prices were increased, while the reimbursement remained static. In my area, the jobs literally fly off the board; it is not unusual for that to occur in minutes.

I've seen bonuses of $10 for bar shops in my area and for dining-room shops in a neighboring state (too far to go for us). I think they're trying a new report only in some areas. The shop report I did for my local TRH has been the same the last two times, but the shop report in the location 25 miles from me is noted as being the "new" report.
