Did a Texas Roadhouse shop last night and noticed that the prices have gone up. We never stay within reimbursement, so that's not a big issue for us, but we decided to "splurge" last night by ordering an appetizer to share. Ordered water to drink and no dessert. Still well over reimbursement. Sadly, my meal wasn't up to TRH usual standards. My husband's was, though. And the staff hit just one of the benchmarks.
I think they need to up that reimbursement. I've noticed that in my area, shops have been staying open longer, and they've been offering bonuses on some dining-room shops, not just the bar shops. That was something I rarely saw when I first started shopping them.
I'm not sure I'm up for being crowded like a sardine (there was barely enough room on the table to eat, and the server wasn't removing empty glasses and dishes), using a dirty restroom, and having to start ordering chicken or in order to not go way over budget. I'd rather do BJ's and get the same reimbursement plus the fee.
I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
