Convenience Store Audit pricing 50 items??? really

I don't know about where you live but where I live; most of the convenience stores are run by foreigners and they are very suspicious of any customers since I guess they get ripped off a lot. There is NO WAY that I could spend enough time being watched while trying to price 50 items writing them down, finding them, etc. All that for $10?? they would begin to ask questions and want to know what you are doing.

I have covert price checks to be completed in convenience and drug stores in your area. These price checks are completed at the store, using an app, on your phone! No spreadsheets or forms to fill out! These locations pay $10 each. I am looking to build a team of evaluators to complete these monthly.
This project contains only 50 items to price, and can be completed in less than 30 minutes!

It's not worth it for $10. I've done them before with a $10 bonus before. The shop is easy to complete. It took me 16 minutes to get the prices of all 50 items the first time I did the shop. You enter everything into the app so it looks like you're texting. The Indian owner didn't suspect anything.
I'd probably try it once - maybe do a bunch depending upon how long they take. I'm in Del Rio ,TX - small town - lots of convenience shops and taking my hubby with me I'd be "texting" and talking to him and then we usually buy a soda and leave.
$20 is fair and $10 is a rip off IMHO. I have done these shops for both. About 20 mins in store avg. Yes just looks like your texting. Most employees don't care nor do they make enough to care.

A different one same price audit covert 681 items in a supermarket started at $100 and got up to $280. I would need at least $750 for that one. I did one of like 150 items and it took 6 hours. I believe I got $200 for it.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I just hate to say that I've done less and less Mystery Shopping because the requirements have gotten so weird. I remember how the gas station stops used to be where they only reimbursed up to $5 for gas and still wanted you go go inside and walk around and use the restroom, it just seems like it makes you stand out.

Used to be? MFI client still does this.
I like these. I have gotten one for $25, one that didn't exist (gas pumps only, no ice, no cigarettes) but still paid me for $20 and the rest between $10-20. I think they're short and sweet (never seen a gas station yet that has the Berry Delight parfait or whatever it is called) but I just keep my headphones on. I had an attendant straight up ask, "ARE YOU GOING TO BUY ANYTHING" and I said no, "I'm reporting prices for my employer, I'm going as fast as I can (that's in my little script, with a timeframe of "15 minutes" to complete) and I won't touch anything". I think they take me under 10 minutes now with practice. She calmed right down. She asked if it affected the prices, and I said I wasn't sure, but I only ever check Chevrons so I think it's for consistency across Chevrons. I also got a 100 item check last week that paid $50. It was kind of a pain. But the 50 item ones are short and sweet! Edit: The app used to report the prices is very intuitive and makes it go really quick. You can add a current price, sale price and promos like 3/$5.

I did the first round of Juul shops where I basically bought up their whole stock. Not only did I have to show my driver's license when using my credit card, but several of them asked for a second photo ID or backup credit card. I'm sure they are victimized quite often by scammers and shoplifters.

those jobs are really easy to perform, but the awkwardness makes it not worth it to me. i can’t help but to put myself in the employee’s shoes. if i was them i’d be wondering what that person was doing walking around texting, not buying anything, so i can only imagine they’re thinking the same thing. especially at a little convenience store, not worth it to me. if you are someone who is carefree and isn’t phased by anything, these jobs are great.

Fazed. Apologies, editors gonna edit.
I do a lot of these. Weirdly, they changed the store list up recently and most of the places they added don't have much or occasionally any items at all. Not even smokes and drinks. Not exactly happy about the smaller run of stores spread out more widely though.

I don't have too many issues doing these. In smaller stores I just but something really cheap and they don't mind. I need snacks sometimes anyway. I have occasionally had store owners throw me out of a shop, but that hasn't happened in a while.
