I did one in 17 minutes? One interaction on sales floor, one with cashier for small purchase, and report didn't even ask about that.@janalou wrote:
Depending where you are located these can be heavily bonused. I did one yesterday for $50. Plus the $5 reimbursement. There is no way the shop can be done in under a half an hour. It's not difficult, but there are 2 or more interactions with associates.
How large/heavy is the large item? I've seen that shop but only ever did the furniture one.@CoffeeQueen wrote:
There are 2 big lots shops, one regular (carry large item around for 10 minutes) and the furniture shop. The first is the easiest but they are both easy. I will do them for $15 if there are other shops i can do nearby. Sometimes they go fast here so someone is doing them for base pay but it isn't me. This month I did 4 for $15 each.

Where do you live where a Big Lot shop is heavily bonused? And up to $50? Rarely have I seen them reach $10 before they are gone. They would never get as much as $15 in Southern California. Wow! You got fiddy!
So you throw the $5 purchase out the car window on the way out of the lot?@HonnyBrown wrote:
It's a $4 shop if you work for cash.

You've gotta be kidding.... And, no; it's not a phone shop. Sigh.
I assume you are joking, Shoptastic, but apparently none of these "Happen to be driving by" shoppers have considered that the time they spent stopping their work day to do one of these $4 shops could have been used to add a shop with decent pay to their route. The number of shops I do is ultimately limited by the number of hours in a day.@shoptastic wrote:

...but....but....some people just HAPPEN TO BE DRIVING BY...

I'm not going to judge anyone else for taking the $4 shop, but, personally, I'd rather pay the $5 out of pocket for something that I need there (and I do enjoy shopping there) than to have to make observations and do a report afterward. Especially with the ever-present possibility of the shop being rejected.
JMO, of course, and just my own philosophy of shopping. And I'd probably do it for less than others here would. In the end, it's a mathematical value judgement (value of time vs. value of shop), and that's not going to be the same for everybody.
