Tax for Canadians

Hi,
I just started shopping 10 months ago, so this year will be my first tax season. I know that fees paid for jobs are taxable, but what about reimbursements? For example, a gas shop might pay $2 for the fee and $10 for gas, obviously the $10 in gas is why I take the shop, but is that part taxable? What about a hotel shop? The fee would be taxable, but would the cost of the room be? I wouldn't have used a hotel room if it weren't for the shop. Dinner shops where there is only reimbursement? I benefited with a meal, but certainly had to work for it. And then there are shops where there is reimbursement, but you have to send back the product, for example an eyeglass shop that I did. I had to return the glasses and got reimbursed for the glasses and postage. How does CRA differentiate between these types of shops? Thank you for any input!

I declare fees paid as income. I don't declare reimbursements as income.

I only do jobs that are on my way in my personal/work life, so I don't declare driving expenses.

I don't know what will happen if I ever get audited.
SQM has some Canadian tax info on their site.
One of the great things about MSing is that reimbursements are NOT taxable. At least in the US.
