maritz gas station shops

these ones pay $11 plus $4 gas reimb and $1 store reimb. Are they worth it? They called me yesterday wanting me to take a block of them but I was laid up in bed with the flu so I didn't answer the phone. I see they are all still available today and wondering if I should call the scheduler back with an affirmative or not....

I have done a bunch of these. I think they are worth it...

I have done a bunch of them also. Pretty easy and I think they are worth it also. Just make sure you get your pictures right.
Pictures? The ones I've done every month have no pics. They pay $6/$6/$1.

MrC, are the ones you guys are talking about the reveals with safety vest? Jaosmom, I do the $6/$5/1 ones with no pictures and no reveal, just buy gas, buy something in convenience store and report. On that client, they also have a reveal that pays a little more but has reveal and pictures. Maritz won't let you do both the ones we do and the reveals. I don't like reveals, anyway, so I picked to non-pix non-reveal.
The reveals are audits. You cannot do audits and nystery shops for the same client. They do 4 clients in my area. I switched to audits for 2 of these. Why? I ran out of places to store the excess gas. I have 4 Walmart 5 gallon plastic gas cans. My SS car gets 30 mpg around town and 40 mpg on the highway. Even feeding my lawn tractors in the summer did not use up the excess gas...winking smiley

I do audits for this company as well. I like the Chevron ones because they pay $15 per audit. I have also done some of the Coca Cola ones too which are a revealed mystery shop.
lizhoop, please remove the client names from your post as the company has been named in the thread.
I do the reveal gas shops often and find them pleasant. This time around the vest usually worn for the orange people are also required to be worn by the green people but in all cases you must now supply your own vest. Real interesting to get one to fit around my big bulky winter coat. Also they want a photo of you wearing this fine rainment. The last pic I took would frighten a cabbage so let's see what happens Sunday when I do some more.

The green client requires that the picture be taking in the restroom mirror. I actually prefer doing it that way, because then the flash blocks out my face.
The bathroom mirror is only a suggestion. Some of the stations do not have mirrors. I prefer to take my photo outside, taking only half my face and the vest, and part of their gas pump. I wonder if they hold a "most weired vest photo" contest among the editors.

Right..I believe that they say to do it in the mirror unless there is no restroom to use. I am off to do my first one of those of the year today.
