Somebody took "my" shop.

This shop has been sitting around for weeks. I have been watching the fee slowly increase. Two more dollars, and it's mine. Wait! What happened? Somebody took my shop. I knew I should have grabbed it. Holding out for another dollar again cost me everything.

Yeah, It's much like gambling. I feel your pain. Next time you could try contacting the scheduler directly before hand and asking for that extra buck?
I feel for you. I can't tell you how many times I've done exactly the same and watched somebody else beat me out.
I work for a company that increases to fee by 2 dollars every few days for the week. It turns out that there is a point where I know I need to grab it, and if I do not, I will loose it...

It is not "your" shop until you claim it as "your" shop... smiling smiley
I used to get frustrated by this... Now, I simply recognize that there is a point at which I am interested in the shop and, if somebody wants it for less, so be it. There is always more work to be had.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
So true!

My shops with one MSC are assigned with an end of the month bonus before they hit the job board at the beginning of the month.

Now you know the going rate. smiling smiley Bidding war now? tongue sticking out smiley
This a good case in point to remind shoppers to be proactive and not reactive. Instead of waiting for the bonus to get to your needed rate email the scheduler and ask for your needed rate. Also if they say they can't right now ask them to keep you in mind for when they can.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I don't wait. Once I see it bonused, I write to tell them how much I would need to get it done. Yeah, even for an extra $2.
