Parking shops

Hi, need to go to downtown Chicago and would prefer car over train in these frigid temps but need a parking job to do it! Who shops parking in Chicago?? Thanks!

Oh, I needed one too. For tomorrow. None to be had. Wish my needs were in sync with Servimer.
Thanks, you were spot on! Passed the qualifier, just hoping to be assigned before I have to leave in the morning...

Check Reality Based Group (RBG). They don't pay as well as Servimer, but they reimburse in full plus a tip.

Well, the dates work out and the place works out, they just aren't assigning me... sad smiley

Did they say why?

Servimer's experienced shoppers get first chance at anything. They like to work with a smaller pool of shoppers who will be back with them pretty much every month. No bonuses; everything that hits the job board is set at the max, right from the get-go. That way their shoppers know that waiting until later in the month will not be useful. Some shops only need to be done quarterly, in spite of the due dates that you see. Try PM-ing luckygirl on the forum to ask about a trial shop. A couple of those well done will qualify you for more options. These are all cash integrity shops and require some training before the shopper knows what to look for. (Hint: It's not just whether or not the cash goes into the till, like many bar shops.) btw, their managers all do shops and many of them have done virtually every shop in their districts. And, they answer their phones for shoppers who are in the field. Great shopper support !

Yes, just seeing they posted a phone number is already a huge plus in my book!

The rumor mill predicts that they will be adding a lot more shops sometime this spring. If you live in/near a major metro area and are willing to drive in city traffic, you may want to ask for a few trial shops to qualify for more. They are very supportive of their shoppers. As their founder and CEO told a large IMSC audience, they realized very soon that they were "managing" VOLUNTEERS. (Huge applause from the shopper audience.)

Luckygirl is sitting at Disney World right now & checking email about 3x a day......

Sorry that's not enough for everyone!
Have fun, LuckyGirl! Scott gave me three shops, even as a first time shopper with you, so I was a happy camper today!

Thank you for the info. I live near the "majorest" metro area in the country so I hope this happens. (Though Brooklyn is a slam nightmare to drive in, Queens not quite as much.)
@madetoshop - Feel free to PM me and I'll see if I can find a February shop or two to reserve for you to try out with a date that could work for you.

@KokoBWare - Our shopper roster is full throughout metro-NYC, but I'd be glad to save a February shop for you to try out in preparation for 2020 expansion.

For anyone wanting to try a Servimer parking shop, feel free to take the brief certification quiz to be ready to apply for something in your area. We can't actually assign a shop until the quiz is passed.

Late january and early feb before the weekend before valentines day is the BEST time to go to disney in terms of the least amount of visitors! No crazy summer crowds and lines are much shorter. /jealous

We go every January for these reasons! Although next year we are going the second week of January which will be fairly busy. It's a RunDisney marathon weekend... (both my husband & I plan to run)
