Now THAT would be a bonus...

On a video valet parking shop I just completed, when I went to retrieve my car, the valet tried to give me a 2018 (ish) Cadillac Escalade instead of my Hyundai Elantra. Oops....

I was just disappointed he didn’t offer the Maserati that was also parked there....

The valets gave away a pretty nice car about five years ago in Long Beach in the restaurant row area. smiling smiley
I hear a knock on the door. Cops. "Did you steal a Maseratti from XXXX Restaurant last night?"

Me: "Maserati? No, I drive a Mazda."

Cop: "Well, it's parked in your driveway."

Me: "Really?"...walks outside. "Well, it's the same color as my Mazda."

I can imagine. This shop was focused around integrity and.... I think the attendants were honest kids, but extremely careless with all sorts of things. They seemed like nice kids, but I think they are going to have a very rough conversation with their boss in short order..... This particular location often parks Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, Maserati's, Porsche's, and more. I've shopped this location several times and I can't help but to think that the location should pay their valets more and and attract older folks who are going to be better about following procedures.

OMG Cease. This is soooo funny. Sounds just like me. I used to say the only car I could tell apart from the others was a VW Bug. Now that they have disappeared from the road I cannot spot any brands I am not any better with actors....

It's always tempting when I have a lost ticket scenario and they ask which car was mine. Ohhhh, which car did I drive today? hmmm.

My two cents:

Me: That is what the one the attendant gave me when I left I guess I was tipsier than I thought. But the clutch should have been the tipoff that this wasn't mine cause the Mazda is an automatic no a stick. Oh and you can not use what I have said against me because I am not under arrest or under oath.

Cop: well you are now.

Me: What!!!

Cop: Under arrest!
Me: Ah, but I was not under arrest so it is inadmissible.

Cop: Don't care. Let's go I have to meet my monthly quota of arrests.
Well, you either have an alibi (I was drunk and didn't know it wasn't my car), or you have perjured yourself.

My car is canary yellow, you can't miss it. It's great in big parking lots. I used to be one of those people who would forget where they were parked and walk around forever looking for their car. Not anymore.
I have many strange habits, most of which I ascribe to my OCD. My friends think my habit of parking in a direct line from the entrance door, even.if the parking spot is half a mile away, is the strangest thing they've even seen, and definitely OCD.

Not at all. It's common sense. Why?

I own a gray buick. Believe me, I don't care if it's half a mile away, I know if I leave the store/mall's entrance door and walk a straight line, I WILL find my Buick!
