I would greatly appreciate you not making things up about myself or my company when you are not in the know. You asked for me to correct you or you would assume you are correct. This is me correcting you. In the future, I would kindly request that you
do not make assumptions or "guess" when it comes to a persons or companies reputation. You are very welcome to ask questions, but it crosses a line to make things up like you did in that post. I dont care about not posting your name on the forum, but I want you to recall the big stink you created attacking me then over that and my response here which is a simple post asking you to not make things up about me. Even though, objectively, libel is equal or worse than posting a name. I recall giving an apology and still getting dumped on over that. That's why I said it was quite bizarre for you to be wholly comfortable making things up about me. It wasn't okay for me to use your given name but it's totes okay for you to make things up about me and my company publicly? Hardly seems consistent, one might even say hypocritical.
I'm going to make the same offer to you I made a few years ago when that went down which was declined then. How about we both be be respectful?
That said, here's the actual details instead of something made up and wrong.
Robert Taylor worked for a specific client. I dont know who his client was. I did work for Robert Taylor. I helped find shoppers for Robert Taylor. He paid $250 for an affidavit/pics/video. 25 for a new referral. 50 for a lead. He also bonused me if I found 20 new shoppers for him in a calendar year.
This is where your misunderstanding comes into play, and why people should really not talk about things they do not know anything about.
In addition to my work for Robert Taylor, I then started a company to do the same type of work for a different client. I worked for them directly doing the same kind of work. Now no shopper could do a job for me at the same time as Robert Taylor because the end client would not allow that, but they would allow ANY number of different companies and individual people turn in work. It did not matter if one company or 30 companies busted a business doing the piracy assignments, every single one of them could get paid out by the client.
Now when I paid people, I paid people the same $250 for the assignment. But I paid $50 for new shopper who successfully did a job(25 dollars more than the industry rate that Robert was paying), and $75 for a lead that was provided to me(which was 25 dollars more than the industry rate at the time). This meant I was paying people more money than they were getting from Robert, IF they found me a new lead or provided me with a new shopper and I was paying them the same amount for the assignment itself.
Robert and I often shared leads, and shared shoppers, and due to an agreement I had, scheduled his first. If someone brought a lead to me that neither Robert nor I had found, they would get the full lead payment from both companies assuming we were both able to find our own person to cover the assignment.
This is why virtually all of my blasts were looking for shopper pairs because then one person could work for Robert, and one person could work for me. Robert had his own client to turn things in, and I had my own. It's entirely possible we were working for the same client. I legitimately do not know. This also had the added benefit of building a nice bench of shoppers across the country who could do work which in this line of work was invaluable.
Robert could pay people up front the day he got their information. I could not pay people for 45 to 60 days. Due to that, he would obviously get more people working for him if they were able because duh, everyone would prefer being paid faster.. This is why I was really big on getting people who did work for them to bring a friend to work for me.
In this regard I was the MSP hiring my own contractors to work for me. I would then submit their work to my client, who would pay me, and I would pay my shoppers. This is an identical process as every MSP and for what Robert was doing. If I did an assignment for Robert, I could not do it myself for my company. I would need to find someone else. However, I always had a shopper partner to travel with so they would work for Robert, and I would work for myself in those events. I confirmed that doing this was acceptable by my client, and I suspect they may have been the same client Robert was working for but due to NDA I have no way of ever confirming it.
Simply put, there was no reason to skim from Roberts jobs because I had my own to schedule, and I got paid more from my client than I did from Robert. It was very much in my financial interest to find shopper pairs to max out how much money I could make.
Now without having the information that I had my own company that was doing their own assignments, I can understand why you thought you were right and I was finding people to do work for Robert and paying them less than he was offering (skimming as you say), but assumptions like that are also how inaccurate rumors get started and how companies like mine can have their reputation damaged online. This is why I again, humbly request, that you refrain from discussing me and my company outside of your own personal experiences with my company and kindly make sure what youre saying is accurate.
I'm throwing my digital hand out there again to shake with a gentlepersons agreement to be cordial. Im not going to react in kind and make things up about you or trash talk you, but I am really asking nicely. Id love for you to accept my offer.
