Intelli shop time question

Quick question I don't think the company will answer before I attempt. When a shop time says between 530-9p. Is that generally the start time, time frame? For instance, if I go at 8 but don't finish until 930, do I risk getting the report rejected?

Anyone able to weigh in?

Yes you could be rejected. The best bet is to go a few hours ahead if you can. Depends on the MSC.
You should plan on completing the entire shop during that timeframe. If it is a visit where you should be on site for 45 minutes or less, an 8:00 arrival should be fine so long as you don’t dally. If something goes sideways, causing the shop to run long, you should be fine if you go a little over.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
This is a slightly different situation, but I do bar compliance shops for this MSC. My full-time job is a "second-shift" job that runs from 4-11:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, although I can usually beg off at 11 by not taking my half-hour break.

The client stays open in my area until 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights, and I live in a high-population area so there are several near me, meaning that if I leave work at 11 on Fri./Sat. I can be in my seat at the bar by 11:15-11:30 depending on location. (The MSC gives you a 9 p.m.-1 a.m. window to shop this client.)

If my date of shop is, say, the 15th, and I arrive at 11:20, I obviously can't complete the shop until the 16th, since you have to stay for one hour, and then there's the report to file. Usually I end up filing these around 2 a.m. on the 16th. Never had a problem in that regard, even though this MSC warns you to file on the date of the shop.

Ask your scheduler I guess? Sorry I'm not more help.
