I request stuff I’d do on a non-shop hotel experience: deodorant, shoe shine, combs, extra toiletries to stock up on, etc. since I’m paying a fortune anyways to stay at the hotel, might as well cut my losses!

I feel like this is such an off request that you would be memorable in asking for it though? I doubt they get asked this by any actual customer.

This is really all that is necessary if I have the jist of the shop right. (I don't do hotel shops). Or the extra amenities/toiletries/ etc. You won't stand out at all from the 10-15 other guests making the same request on a given night. (give or take a few depending on how big the hotel is).

I assume you are doing the shop that asks 2 before and 2 during requests/contacts. In order to not be memorable it is always better to request a housekeeping item that is already offered in the app. Each location has different offerings. Also do not forget that the requirements are generic for all their brands and the middle/lower do not have the same extra stuff beyond the standard through the app. The whole point is to check whether the front desk monitors the app for questions and requests. It is very important for that client. I did one that nobody replied for 2 hours. I also did one that nobody replied before and after and the client had not realized that it can not be used as in that country the system is prohibited.

I ask for them when I'm on my own -- which is why I know most of the major chains don't carry them. Kimpton does, though. They will replace them for you on request. Some of the IHG franchises (not the corporate) will as well. I'm pretty non-descript and am confident I don't stick out in the neighborhoods I shop.@jrossetti wrote:
