Hotel Shoppers: what would you request via mobile app?

I have two hotel assignments coming up that require me to use the mobile app chat feature to request something before check in. What would be appropriate to request via the app?

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Same stuff you would request on the phone. Some people prefer to text over calling. It seems that they are catering to that demographic.
I usually ask for the shaving kit if available, not all locations have it. It will show on the available options if it is there. Otherwise extra body lotion and conditioner. I actually have a college niece with long hair that needs huge amounts of them in real life when she showers.
Near elevator, far from elevator, low floor, high floor, pillow type, room temperature set.

I request stuff I’d do on a non-shop hotel experience: deodorant, shoe shine, combs, extra toiletries to stock up on, etc. since I’m paying a fortune anyways to stay at the hotel, might as well cut my losses!

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

I ask for incandescent bulbs -- they don't have them.

I feel like this is such an off request that you would be memorable in asking for it though? I doubt they get asked this by any actual customer.

In all my years as an AGM for a hotel. This was asked by a guest exactly zero times.
This might not make you stand out as a MSer, but it is making you stand out as someone who will be a high maintenance guest and that could affect some staff members attitude towards you while you are on property. (for example if they think they think you are high maintenance like this, they may forego mentioning the branded credit card or rewards program). I would suggest making a different request here.

This is really all that is necessary if I have the jist of the shop right. (I don't do hotel shops). Or the extra amenities/toiletries/ etc. You won't stand out at all from the 10-15 other guests making the same request on a given night. (give or take a few depending on how big the hotel is).

You do have the gist right. They definitely want us to blend in.

I assume you are doing the shop that asks 2 before and 2 during requests/contacts. In order to not be memorable it is always better to request a housekeeping item that is already offered in the app. Each location has different offerings. Also do not forget that the requirements are generic for all their brands and the middle/lower do not have the same extra stuff beyond the standard through the app. The whole point is to check whether the front desk monitors the app for questions and requests. It is very important for that client. I did one that nobody replied for 2 hours. I also did one that nobody replied before and after and the client had not realized that it can not be used as in that country the system is prohibited.

I find that really really strange unless it is in Europe where they have weirder laws about privacy than we do here in the USA.

I ask for them when I'm on my own -- which is why I know most of the major chains don't carry them. Kimpton does, though. They will replace them for you on request. Some of the IHG franchises (not the corporate) will as well. I'm pretty non-descript and am confident I don't stick out in the neighborhoods I shop.
