Drone jobs

I signed up with We Go Look. They don't actually have any work around here it seems. But in the process, I saw the information about drone jobs. Does anyone here have a drone and make money with it taking aerial pictures? I don't want to invest in a decent drone and the FAA certification if I won't be able to make my money back.

Trend Source has an option to use aerial photos for their Onsite Inspections. I don't go that far/deep.

I'm curious what the fee runs. I'm not into getting my drone out for Trendsource and their $5 fee and $.50 PAD.

I would definitely get my drone out for $150+

Out of context, that sounds kinda dirty....
Oh I'd get that drone out for $150 too!

For $150, I will buy a drone, get licensed, etc.

I hope Trendsource doesn't do that! I've read that those jobs go for 150 plus.

Nobody wants to see that!

I might even get my drone fixed so it could get up again.

I have or have had up to about 50 drones at a time because I sell them as part of a different business but I have only flown a couple different ones just a few times. I am quite inexperienced and joined a local drone club but have never gone to a meeting. I'm afraid if I did an MS job with one I would blow my cover by having to go in and ask if I could get on their roof to recover it. For me they are just too hard to control but I suppose just like anything, it might come easier with practice.
I signed up for them last night and you have to have a full license, which means passing the FAA Unmanned Pilot test. I have a drone, but I don't use it much and I agree they are hard to control. My brother uses his a lot though and has gotten pretty good at it

And bgriffin, I do suppose that you have to be somewhat proficient to acquire the license, am I right?
It is an FAA pilot's test. You have to know vectors and reading aeronautical charts, etc

ok-aaayyyy! So other than you guys getting off-topic a little bit. I was laughing at ya'll. There was some valuable information. I already figured I'd have to spend a certain amount of money to have a decent camera, but also need one with good reviews on controllability. I will also need to invest time in practicing flying it. Thank you guys for that information.

We're all far too young to catch that reference. And stop calling me Shirley.
I thought s/he was serious. What's the reference?

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
