I never buy anything that isn't priced. What costs 99 cents at most places often ends up costing $2-$3 at the types of stores where they don't display prices. I end up buying lots of chips, even though they are closer to $2, because they almost always have the price on the bag. I especially like the smaller bags that go two for $1 or two for $1.50. The nuts work too for that reason, but I tend to eat more chips. Other of my top purchases include tacos, bananas, fountain drinks, coffee, tweezers, tire guages, cheap tools, single-use window wipes, tissue, mints, Nerds, lighters, greeting cards, and more tacos, With the $2 reimbursements I often go for groceries such as eggs, milk, sausage, grapes or vegetables, assuming they are not marked up too much and I will be home before they spoil (except for the grapes which get eaten on the road.).
