Virgin Media FRAUD?

Hi,
I have been recruited, supposedly from MSPA, by a Barry Parker with an email registered to @virginmedia to participate in a secret survey report program where a 2 day priority envelope arrived with a $1900 check I'm supposed to deposit and but gift cards. I know this is USUALLY a MAJOR SCAM but I've never seen or heard of it in the mystery shipping industry. There is a website fora company by that name but that's easy to setup. Think I should report it to the local police and MSPA? Thanks for any advice as he is hounding my by text from email.

This is a very common scam in the mystery shopping world. If you deposit the check, you will regret it.

Report it to the police and they should pass it in to any investigating authority.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
1) Would you send a substantial check to someone you did not know in hopes they would do something for you? 2) If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, why would you assume your white feathered friend was not a duck? Report it to the local police and if you want to be bothered, to the MSPA.

Of course the sender is hounding you! He wants to wear you down to report the card numbers and pins back to him so he can empty them before his check bounces.
SCAM! SCAM! NO MYSTERY SHOPPING COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY PAYS YOU AHEAD WITH A CHECK. THEY SCAM BY PHONE, CHECK, SS, IRS, CREDIT CARDS, SHOULD I GO ON.
If you can email back to them that you are reporting them to the police and I bet they will stop. What is the email address that you are receiving this scam from?

Since the fake check was sent by USPS, report it to the USPS Inspector General.

I ignored him and never heard from him again. But, now I got a sketchy reply approval email from applying for Mountain Dew Energy Drink decals on my car. Anyone know anything on that?
There is a well known scam about applying an advertising wrap or decals on your car.

Jen, your best bet (if you are interested in working for MS companies) is to apply with MS companies on the list at the bottom of the page. Meanwhile, do not cash or deposit any checks. We MSers get paid AFTER we do the work, and it's not an exorbitant amount by any means.
