Back but need help

I shopped for a couple of years then had to stop for the past two because of health issues. I'm now trying to get back into shopping and am updating my company lists. I'm getting in a loop with User Log-on and Passwords. For example, I try to sign into a company directly (using my previous credentials) and sometimes I can do so and other times the system will say there is not an account. Yet, when I try to add my information back, the system will tell me that the account already exists. (I'm using "account" for lack of a better word). Has anyone else encountered this situation? What am I doing wrong? Do you think I'll have to come back in as a new User with a new Password? I'm hoping someone has an easier solution to share as I'm signed up with at least 150 companies. I even had to establish a new identity to get back into this forum! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Membership is free. Simply choose your username, type in your email address, and choose a password. You immediately get full access to the forum.

Already a member? Log In.

If you are being told that your email (username) already exists, ask the system to reset your password. You will get an email with a link, and you can then then change the password. I have occasionally had to do that with MSCs which rarely have shops in my area.

I tried the suggestion and it worked for a couple companies. I'm finding a pattern - it seems that I'm having trouble with companies who are associated with Sassie. I did find one company where I was deactivated but was able to reactivate easily. I'll try more tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
I have been running into the exact same thing recently.

Some companies have changed "platforms". You have to jump through some hoops.

Informa comes immediately to mind as one that changed platforms.
If it is telling you that you already have an account in the system, I would not make a second account. This is one of the things that sets off a red flag for fraud. Instead, find the company's contact information and explain the issue. They should be able to reset the password in SASSIE or give you the go-ahead to make a new account. Unfortunately, sometimes it's hard to find the contact information for an MSC without logging in, but I'm sure the forum could help if you can't find some.

Edited to make that first sentence make sense. Not sure what happened there!

Try to change the user password through jobslinger for all sassie websites [www.jobslinger.com]
I really think that Sassie is currently messed up because I have to reset various passwords in the system and I get tired of it. It is so easy to fall into the recycling of passwords just keep three and rotate through them. But that can be a double-edged sword.

When they upgraded(?) to that stupid needing to change passwords to include special characters, capital letters, numbers, etc, I changed all of mine to $1[password][first letter of company]. That way, I don't have to remember everything. IOW, RCMS would be $1supercalifragilisticexpialidociousR and Kern would be $1supercalifragilisticexpialidociousK. It's not the characters that matter, it's the length since hackers run programs that read the special characters the same as letters. They'll get to every possibility that's shorter than mine before they get to me.
